In March this year I was on Gozdnik but forgot my hiking diary at home and since I didn't have the stamp I decided to repeat the hike. I managed that this month, unfortunately I noticed that at the cabin there's no more thermometer with barometer, which was still there in March. I assume someone took it or (plainly stole it). Shame that such types crawl around the hills and do damage to us visitors as well as to mountaineering societies jezen

I too was on Gozdnik sometime in June, but the thermometer was still in its place!

While crowds of hikers were milling on Mrzlica this morning, Gozdnik was deserted. The summit naturally lacks a pleasant warm hut like on Mrzlica and has no views either, that's why it's less visited.
New snow cca. 5 cm and some old. My friend and I had a nice walk in the cold morning.

I too was on Gozdnik on Sunday, it's super because there's never a crowd here. I then continued to Mrzlica. Super loop tour, snow compared to the already bare valley still holds up well. Despite cold weather and occasional wind the day was nice nasmeh

Yesterday started at Minerva(Sipex) in Zabukovica, past Zg. Beškovnik to Kotečnik, then over Festnge to Gozdnik summit. Descent to hunting hut - Kotnik farm and on past hostages monument to morning start. Great weather, snow little over ankle, pleasant company of eleven participants. For whole path six hours with short breaks included. Below Kotečnik summit met group of eleven hikers from PD Slivnica pri Celju, who continued under Gozdnik to Preval, Kamnik and Hom. lp mp

Today from Laško I went to Tolsta, Šmohor and Gozdnik. Path fully bare, but quite muddy in several places. Due to steep incline caution needed on ascent (more on descent) from Mali Gozdnik to Gozdnik so not slip on muddy path down steep slope.
Weather cloudy, occasionally foggy, end some sun.

Weekend dedicated to society duties and with a colleague tasked to lead members on the Rečiška path section. The path starts where we finished in spring, at the Kotnik farm under Mrzlica, first up to Gozdnik. From the top the path leads to Šmohor, then awarding of badges by PD Laško reps for the done path. The hike ends with conquering Malič and the last Tolsto summit, descent to Laško where the bus waits for members.
For me awaits return along the walked path because of numerous turnout, no bus space, so someone hikes again (leader).
Weather great all the way, views wonderful.......

From Mrzlica nicely saw that you walked right on the fog edge. To the south foggy cover, to the north clear.

Nice pics, some you didn't sharpen well. Why???

Yesterday set off from Kurje vasi via Lovske koče Gozdnik to the top of Gozdnik. Continued via Malog Gozdnika towards the home on Smohorju. From home return towards Kurjoj vasi (part on marked path towards Liboju, last part of path on unmarked trails through forest and on road). Well, already getting dark, so we got a bit "lost", but luckily came to farm Tratnik below Kotecnika. Farm owners were very, very kind and drove us to the place where we left the car. Lots of thanks to them!!!! nasmeh

During last visit to Gozdnik I found out that the path from 3 spruces via little Gozdnik is poorly marked and today I decided to fix the situation.
Renewed most of the old markings and added some at critical spots. nasmeh

next time need to take a thin brush along, or even a white marker :)

Today, as a family from Dom na Šmohorju, we visited Gozdnik.
At the top, a new logbook is needed.
We spent a wonderful day, the path is nicely marked, on the path to the top we met no one, but it was very lively at Dom na Šmohorju.

at the top by the bivouac the little sun warmed us

and back towards the church of St. Mohor

we also look at the interesting Šmohorske linden trees

and we are already at the end at Dom na Šmohorju

Nice hunting path between the hunting grounds.

Above the demanding part of the ridge in the lower course.

And the upper section where we scramble in steep and exposed grass.

Once marked and with a stamp (Petelinji vrh?).

Up from Zabukovica, descent to the saddle under Kotečnik. Interesting that ropes have been installed in places on the path, which probably help in the wet. zavijanje z očmi

On the descent, we still pick fresh wild garlic and cheerfully head towards home. nasmeh

Ropes were installed some time ago (a few years), when the Knap trail passed through here, organized by Leon Cestnik from Trbovlje. They help mainly in winter in the snow and in the wet, as you yourself wrote. nasmeh

Yesterday after lunch from Griž over Bukovca to Liboje, then to Veliki Slomnik, onwards to Šmohor, also to Gozdnik and past the hunting lodge back to the starting point. Hiking conditions perfect of course, paths well marked, but just before grasses and young branches embrace them. Met no one, except on Šmohor some walkers and quite a few cyclists. Trees above 900m still bare, if the forecast holds there will be snow on Gozdnik next week.
In six and a half hours it added up to good 26km, 1427m elevation gain.
