How many narcissi are blooming?

foxy, -on Golica and Dovška Baba there won't be any for quite some time yet. Lower, as said (e.g. near Dom Pristava in Jav.Rovt), this year already a bit earlier. On Struška, where there's still some snow, the flowers are threatened by frost. Golica and Baba aren't much lower.

heinz- once after May 1st probably already... I have to check when I was last year. This year everything is later, last year I photographed Blagaj's wolfsbane mid-April, this year not even a sign, actually still snow on Grmada. And early May last year everything yellow from Pogačnik's on Bledgoš, this year also not so soon.

from Dovška Baba you look into Vrata valley, at the end is Luknja pass (nicely visible), and on the other side Zadnjica valley.

On Saturday, 6th May we drove by car to Dom Pristava in Javorniški rovt. And then we wandered around meadows, pastures and clearings where it is full of fragrant narcissi.

Most daffodils usually on the slope of Mala Golica (if going from Suha saddle), but how this year, don't know.

Good we decided to go check ourselves. Of course they are! They start right at Suha Saddle and just multiply almost to top of Mala Golica. Slope of Mala Golica completely white! Higher and towards Krvavka all still in buds, per weather forecast best just next weekend! Don't go to Golica direct from Planina pod Golico, take a bit more time and go past Savske jame to Suha Saddle then to Golica along ridge. Won't regret!

Situation in Planina pod Golico, Javorniški rovt, Dom Pristava: whitened. Come convince yourselves on Tuesday first of May when annual cheerful citizens meeting with cultural program and dance at Dom Pristava.
