The gondola on that side works, rifugio Gilberti and the Prevala cable car station are perfectly fine starting points. Both in summer and winter.

Thanks Loerst for the detailed description. I assumed that maPZS is based on lidar, because on the map from relief/shading you see certain roads that aren't even drawn in at all.
