In such grayness an occasional calm walk fits in here and there.

Nice loop in Konec. nasmeh

I'm interested where it would be safe to go tomorrow from Kamniška Bistrica, I read the avalanche warnings on arso.gov.si, and I'm curious which slopes are not exposed to avalanches. Is Grintavec an option for tomorrow? Or maybe more pleasant to go say to Rinke (or Turska gora) via Žmavčarje?

Prepolc80. You know, I would be very reluctant to take responsibility like this over the net for any direct tips on conditions for the tour. It's hard to assert with certainty that somewhere 100% nothing will slide ...

And best regards and good luck. mežikanje

Yes, I went for the classic - Grintavec. Let the pictures tell about the conditions somehow.

More about the conditions?
Is it collapsing, or frozen?

Yesterday afternoon I parked behind Žagana peč and headed across Žmavcarje to the bivouac under Skuta. Path bp, just someone put lots of effort to spray almost all rocks by the path. Midway fog flew in from somewhere, but toward the top sun appeared. Then it vanished without a trace. Very nice tour, nice views.

1 December, such a fantastic day!! Nina decides to rest, so I can fulfill my long-standing wish to link the path over Gamsov skret up and Žmavcarje down. My loyal 4-legged friend will stay home this time, the path is not suitable for dogs. I parked above Žagana peč, the road ahead is really poor! The path through the forest is quite steep, and under Kogl the steepness doesn't let up. Then a bit of climbing, I can't imagine it in the wet, and soon I reach the bench after less than 2 hours of strenuous hiking. The steepness eases and when I reach the marked path under Štruca, I turn right towards Kam.sedlo - markings for Sleme. The nicely routed secured path soon brings me below the summit of Sleme, then descent towards Mali podi and great panorama of Skuta, Brana, Turska gora... Finally snack, photos, admiring the surroundings... I would have stayed up here, but the afternoon job pushes me on and from the bivouac it's only downhill and very fast, as I use all possible scree slopes. After a good 4 hours, or 5 with breaks, I'm back at the car. Insanely nice tour, wild, steep, lonely, one of the nicest unmarked (let's ignore the sprayed almost all rocks in the lower part of Žmavcarje!!) paths, comparable to me to the path to Srebrno sedlonasmeh

Hello, I'm interested how the parking in Konec is arranged now, can one get there or is it allowed to the upper cable car station by car or does one have to leave the car at the hut in Kamniška Bistrica? Thanks a lot for answers.

You go further by car.

As far as I know, it won't hold. Driving further from the hut is officially prohibited. That doesn't change the fact that everyone (including me) drives there. But there is a risk of a fine.
My advice: if going to Kokrsko sedlo, better go from Suhadolnik. Also much nicer path. If you have other plans (Kogel, Žmavčarje, Kalško goro), then you can risk it. That's life.

About a 5-minute walk before the cable car there is a road closure and an arranged parking lot. The road to the closure is otherwise bp.

In a couple of hours we cleared the landslide. Further ahead there were two Italians, so we had to clear another cca 100m of path.
All talked about how the hail had battered them.
Well, they also gave a couple of beers.mežikanje

Can't believe how quickly it was cleaned up and repaired. Obviously without various inspections and negotiations. Grega and KPK Kamnik - thanks! nasmeh
