Hello!

Before I head to my personal doctor and he sends me for various scans, I decided to ask you anyway and help myself with home remedies, which nowadays work the best, you know > help yourself if you can nasmeh

I have the following issue.

I bought new mountain hiking boots, sadly they were too big and on the last steep climb I got problems, already at the start I felt something wasn't right with the Achilles tendons but I continued the path anyway, stubbornness did its thing, what can I say nasmeh
Since then I got right away on the right side next to the Achilles tendon, two little bumps (both sides of the foot left and right, almost completely identical blisters) > the image is shown in most detail on the following link

http://www.kinvital.si/index.php/sl/novice/42-tendinitis-vnetje-ahilove-tetive

So, exactly at that spot it's happening..
No pain, not even in the morning when I get up with first steps, no pain when I touch the blisters either... maybe a bit of trouble or pain when I take a few more steps from home, but even that lasts a minute and it's gone.

This week I erased the walks I used to do almost every day for two years from my daily schedule (catastrophe).
Rubbing with some herbal cream and soaking feet in warm water.

But I'd ask you for any opinion, maybe (hope not!!!) someone had such a thing and has experience how they helped themselves?

Thanks in advance for any opinion and hope I won't need doctor visit, who I believe will give some cream before scans (voltaren - bleh) and rest home, classic medicine

Thanks and good luck

Regards!

sounds funny but if I rest it happens to me too. now after I had lain for 2 weeks and started walking the tendon hurt. don't give up, like that before bed it already helped me. Regarding creams, massage well before sleep with spruce ointment.

No not funny why would it be...that's why I posted this problem with question to get opinion or help.

So if I understand correctly continue with walks etc.? Because if I stop I'll have these problems?
Will definitely buy spruce ointment and massage thanks for suggestion

Hi
I had these problems with running. When I started running in spring (didn't run in winter) I got pain and hardening on the left leg tendon. The pain was so bad I limped. Probably consequences of starting insufficiently warmed up. I cooled with bags (gel) and then rubbed with Hepan gel. Nothing else was at home at the moment.
It took quite a while to fix the problems....
But I didn't pay enough attention and a few years ago I got an even worse injury. After about 10 km steady run (in the forest) I had about 500m to the car. I planned to run these at much higher pace than before. Soon it burned in the tendon area and strong pain. About fourteen days I massaged, cooled but then couldn't hold out anymore. Ultrasound showed about 40% torn tendon. Then cast and total about 3 months. Currently no more problems with tendons.

On my Achilles tendon a blister formed with 2 cm diameter. No ointment helped, magnet therapy in Tivoli... Only surgical intervention remained, where they scraped out the hardening. Although 15 years have passed since then, pain still appears during running longer than one hour.
Nothing comforting.

Thanks for the replies.

Well, I'll try to get rid of this with massages or rather with spruce ointment, I hope it gets better or rather I believe so

Thank God I have no severe pains neither to the touch nor when walking, it changes color a bit but nothing critical.
We'll see what will be nasmeh

Thanks again

Good luck

I don't know him, but I'd be careful with spruce ointment!
I know someone who developed a strong allergy from spruce compresses to any contact with spruce scent, let alone the touch of fresh spruce. And before that had no issues with it!

Spruce ointment even if there's nothing wrong with it. It's true we have homemade, because we produce it ourselves - if I were buying it I'd probably go bankrupt.

@dprapr
I read on forums about spruce ointment and all only praises, sure.. people are different and thanks for warning.
You see after first or second application what happens or if body likes it and then continue right nasmeh
@redbull does this spruce ointment count too??

Oblakovo is ok, small packaging and expensive. for 7 eur you'd get 250g ointment from me, true not in such nice packagingnasmeh

Spruce ointment is good, but I have very good experiences with horse ointment too. I recommend.

It helps, helps.. otherwise a small bruise appeared on the back part of the leg and I limited the ointment to once a day and in my opinion there shouldn't be anything critical, right?
Good luck

I'm quite skeptical of various ointments and such, but spruce ointment is THE BEST. And calendula ointment, with it I successfully heal blisters on paws of my cocker spaniel with whom I hike a lot in hills.

@slavkoo how do you mean dog has blisters. Can you write a few more words about it. Does it form on pads or between toes. I also take dog along but no issues with paw pads.

Let me borrow this thread.

I have a problem in the foot pad area (painful big toe joint). The feeling is as if this joint has overgrown with bone and now presses against the ground when walking barefoot. Like having a pad there.
It appeared after two longer high mountain tours with new shoes with inflexible sole.
Now trail running with trekking shoes in forest (over roots) is painful, so I had to switch to mountain boots.
It is really annoying and lasts cca. 1.5 months.

I read online that frequent forefoot stress can cause metatarsal arch injuries, which can lead to the bone dropping and consequently pressing against the ground.

I would be very grateful for any similar experience or solution.

Best regards, Dejan

Pikica1. Yes, probably my cocker spaniel is very sensitive... on the pads he gets a blister 2-3 times a year, usually if we do a longer mountain tour. I rub him with spruce ointment, now I've got booties too, so no more problems.
