Sašo and Jani, we had a great time up there criss-crossing and plenty more. The weather favored us too. Tirske always offer loads of beauty with added adrenaline, which wasn't missing this time either.
Thanks to you both for the nice company. Of course some more of my shots.
The fixed protections in the gully to Lopna peč are all fine. For the upper way via Gamsji vrt there's a fallen tree between the two chimneys. For first-timers going up I say you must cross right over this tree and not left into steep grass and rocks. One guy at the bivouac told me how the tree misled him and the troubles he had after.
We took my left path, which is cleared and nicely passable. Only at the exit to Zgornja Lopa extra care needed, because due to fallen trees no exit through woods but on steep grass right above the wall itself. So really careful there or force way left around through woods.

I was quite surprised yesterday how much snow had fallen on Golte.
I parked at Planinska Ravna and already there had to clear snow like midwinter for the car.
How pleasant it was to walk on soft powder, of which there was quite a lot towards Javorca. Lenčka at the hut measured 25cm of it. But with rising temperatures it settled quickly. Usually in such conditions I manage to spot chamois somewhere, but yesterday it wasn't meant to be.
At the bivouac some acquaintances passed by, with whom it's always pleasant to chat. I also lit a fire, which came in handy for Viki because his hands always get cold.
On the descent I met old acquaintances at the same spot as last time, and it was a bit strange how that's possible. Maybe we'll meet there a third time.
At Medvedjak they enjoyed sliding on the crust, probably the last time this winter.
With the forecasted nice and warm weather this snow will soon melt and water the thirsty nature. Pasque flowers will then be able to bloom in all their beauty, and we'll go to admire them.

Even today it was pleasant to walk alone on Golte, just this time I didn't meet a living soul.

Yesterday again a wonderful ramble around Golte.
I started below Bela peč and then towards Tirske peči. Already right away two roe deer surprised me there where the path turns from the road into the forest. To Lopna peč I then saw another four chamois.
In the gully to Lopna peč it was quite wet and on the ladders I got a small shower. There I saw that even kids can manage this gully, as one was right in the middle of the ladder.
From Lopna peč I continued via Šteng to Gamsji vrt, as I was interested in how the pasque flowers are. The last snow watered them and some are already blooming. Although small they are still beautiful.
All the way up there it was bare. On Konjski vrh there is still snow down to Vodna loka. On the south side of Medvedjak it was bare again. There I saw quite a few chamois again, at least ten, which evaded me just enough for no photos.
To the bivouac on Javorca there was still some wet snow melting fast. But it gave me wonderful views and beautiful nature.
I descended past the hut where the path was almost fully bare.
Nice things happened to me up there. Didn't meet a living soul, just me and wonderful nature.

April on Golte has even more varied weather than in the valley. Spring still has quite a bit of trouble with winter.
Photos from the last five visits. Three times I wandered around Požganija, twice I added a loop over Tirske peči. The paths I walked remained cleaner and more passable behind me, since when I walk alone I don't slow anyone down. I also see quite a lot of animals then, although I can't walk as quietly as when I was still a hunter.
Pasque flowers will be at peak bloom in a week or two. Already quite a few are blooming now. They still lack abundant precipitation for more lush flowers. Of course some other little flowers are already blooming too.
On Tirske I met Zlatko with his son after a long time. A little later, while walking towards Zgornja Lopa, I saw Milan below exploring something. That occupied my thoughts for quite a stretch of the path. Memories of our shared experiences returned.
The highlight of the tour for me is almost always the bivouac where I summarize the experiences in a short entry in the logbook. There are already surprisingly many of these entries. It's really pleasant to read them back, especially those from other visitors. Reading them sometimes warms my heart how nicely some people can write. Memory is becoming more and more like Swiss cheese and the notes are increasingly useful.

Enough rain and snownasmeh gave edelweiss all needed to bloom wonderfully again and beautify rambles on Golte. Already at peak bloom. So those wanting to see them hurry up. Especially Gamsji vrt in Tirške peči must be wonderful now. Of course more hidden spots with edelweiss on Golte. Gentians on Boskovec soon blooming too.

Edelweiss already wonderfully blooming on cliffs and ridges in Požganija below Javorca.
Photos from several visits and it was nice each time.
All paths nicely groomed. Almost no snow left.

Still some blooming edelweiss in Požganija. This year they are really wonderful because they have enough rainfall. They bloom even where it's usually too dry.

A lot has happened on Golte since the last description. The most important event was the opening of the new beautiful Mozirska hut in July. Unfortunately for its visitors, it has been closed since October, which those who helped build it especially do not deserve. The road via Konečka planina to Rastočka planina has been arranged. Soon two new chairlifts will be completed. A completely new adrenaline park and the death train ZIPLINE COASTER among the treetops have been built. And much more.
Golte spoiled me on every visit, whether alone or in company. I discovered some new hidden corners again. Lots of nice memories have accumulated again. Winter is coming soon with new experiences.

Trogar's Pit 5.2.2024:
For years I dreamed of discovering a big cave and the dream came true in November 2020 when while exploring Golte I came across this beautiful pit on the eastern side of Požganija.
This time Vinko and I went into it. We were inside for a good two hours and both enjoyed it a lot. The cave always surprises me with its beauties again and again. Always something new.
Then we moved past my bivouac on Javorca to the other side of Požganija and there too climbed into two shafts in the wall above Mesarska lopa. The smaller one, Janez's meander, I discovered a few years ago. It was waiting just for me when I went there to relieve myself. The real challenge for us was the slightly longer Dry meander in the upper half of the overhanging wall at Mesarska lopa. Access is only by air and we really worked up a sweat to climb into it.
Next to it is a ledge where a pair of ravens nested until a few years ago. Every spring they had three chicks. Then the big nest fell down. Nevertheless they continued nesting up there, but every spring I found eggs on the ground below. While descending into the shaft I checked it out and made them a new nest a few days ago. Now I hope they like it.
For the end, a rope descent from the shaft awaited us.
Tired, dirty, scratched and happy we relived another great adventure on Golte on the way to the car.
