Does anyone have info where continuous snow starts above Planina Dol?

3 weeks ago it started right at planina Dol. On the planina there was quite a bit of it, I doubt it's been picked up by now.

Yesterday from Kraljev hrib over planina Dol to Konj. In the morning at the parking lot two cars, -7 degrees. The morning looked promising, sky clear blue.

The path through Dolski graben icy. Soon snow starts, but in the graben just traces. Just below planina Dol a bit more snow, on planina about 30 cm new. Track made towards Konj, more snow. Track first follows marked path, then goes its own way, on clearing steeply up and steepness eases only right before planina Rzenik. That's the only track.

Planina Rzenik snow-covered, views despite clouds beautiful reaching all sides.
From Mlakarjeva bajta two tracks - we took the left one leading almost directly to ridge. Views from saddle wonderful and stunning. Then right under ridge to top. Snow very variable, sometimes soft, sometimes hard. Hard to imagine scree hidden under snow here. Descent other path, fast, caution needed in places.

On return met quite a few, mostly in pairs. Some wind on planina Dol and summit, otherwise pleasantly warm. Back at parking +7 degrees and lots more cars. smile

Some snowballs are rolling down the gully, otherwise it is not avalanche-prone

From Mlakarjeva bajta steeply upwards almost to the ridge. Despite clouds, the view from this place is stunning - straight ahead and downwards

At the summit. Wonderful viewpoint! Everywhere the eye looks, all is snow-covered.

On return, ice candles in the votlinica just before poseka

A few minutes before the parking lot, plenty of wild garlic already :)

What are conditions like on Konj (snow, protections)? Is Presedljaj still dry?

If you go via Dol everything is bare, likewise the summit of Konj and Rzenik.

How's the snow on the path from Kamniška Bistrica (lower cable car station) via Dol to Konj? Passable for walkers without snowshoes?

From Dol to Konj trodden yesterday (7.1), no more than 15cm powder on hard base. Passable without snowshoes, crampons recommended.

Snow on Dol and then above 1500m. But there are also icy slabs much lower, often hidden under leaves, so caution is not superfluous.

Today up from the Bela valley over Presedljaj. Descent same. In between also Orličje and hunter's hut and that's it. biggrin

New snow on the north side quite annoying…especially on descent. But I think it will melt soon. smile

Pod Belo - Orglice waterfall - Presedljaj - Lučki dedec - Vežica - Konj - Planina Rzenik - Planina Dol - Belska Kopa - Pod Belo.

The trail is okay. The weather held for most of the day. At Lučki dedec it was foggy and windy, so I left it quickly, the fog thickened even more around Vežica. Here I could see only about 10-20m ahead. At the top of Konj it started to drizzle lightly, but only for about half an hour. I had planned to also visit Rzenik but then skipped it. Descent via Martinj trail without problems, just need to catch the right entry at the start. Somewhere in the middle of the descent via Martinj trail I accidentally notice a barely visible branch to the right towards Belska Kopa, so I go check it out.

Landslide below the north face of Rzenik.

Presedlaj. I turn left towards Korošica, later I will return and go right to Konj.

Winter signpost to Korošica. In the background in the center of the picture, the peaks of Velika zelenica and Veliki vrh are visible.

Some snow remnants can also be found in shady hollows along the path.

Just below the summit of Lučkega Dedca. View down to the mountain pasture Korošica.

Over Vežica I reach the watering trough for livestock.

A few meters to the side is a small rise with a view towards Konj.

Back on the marked path to Presedlaj. Lučka Kopa, Konj, Rzenik.

First bolts at the start of the climb to Konj.

Along the main road to the parking lot, about 0.5 km.

Today to Konj, up over Presedljaj, down to Pl. Dol and via Martinj trail.
That around the landslide there's a nicely routed trail is already known. But the markers higher under "Počivalo" have nicely fixed the path. Looks like they did it yesterday. Also new markings drawn to Presedljaj.
The trail without peculiarities as far as the marked part goes.
Descent via Martinj trail was quite nasty due to the large amount of leaves and that little bridge, don't know how long it will hold.

Today from Bela valley first to Lučka Kopa, then to Konj summit.
Descent back over Presedljaj. No snow anywhere anymore, all aids are fine. Weather already quite summery… nasmeh
