Kopa (Belska Kopa), cave in Varvanju

Print
SilvestrO10. 08. 2016 18:43:13
I turn into the valley of Kamniška Bela, where the western ridge immediately presents itself to the right above...
Kopa (Belska Kopa), cave in Varvanju Western ridge of Kopa, here I go up, ....(following the notes of Stane Škrjanec: Kopa and Rzenik via forgotten hunting passes)1
Kopa (Belska Kopa), cave in Varvanju ...first through nettles, at the rock barrier then go left...2
Kopa (Belska Kopa), cave in Varvanju ...up there on the precipice edge, where you look into the valley of Bela and Mešenik opposite, nice passage to the right... further...3
Kopa (Belska Kopa), cave in Varvanju past the window..., on the ridge there are still many beautiful passages and details,4
Kopa (Belska Kopa), cave in Varvanju ...the ridge from the left leads me to the summit of Kopa..., the normal approach leads to the saddle on the right (taken from Martinj path)5
Kopa (Belska Kopa), cave in Varvanju From the ridge below the cave at Varvanju I photograph the Martinj path (visible in the middle of the picture)6
Kopa (Belska Kopa), cave in Varvanju Past the cave at Varvanju, view from the upper side... (continuation to Rzenik probably follows soon)7
Kopa (Belska Kopa), cave in Varvanju ...and lower side8
Kopa (Belska Kopa), cave in Varvanju allegedly remains of a partisan shoemaker's in it9
Kopa (Belska Kopa), cave in Varvanju ...I descended to Martin path,...heading to Dol alpine pasture10
Kopa (Belska Kopa), cave in Varvanju Ridge from Kopa towards the cave at Varvanje (taken from Martinj path).11
Kopa (Belska Kopa), cave in Varvanju ...behind Brana, Dedec and in front the ridge to the cave..., hurrying towards Dolski Graben to the valley.12

Rarely do I go on a trip in company, but this time I did and even with an unknown person from the forum. When it turned out I would be hiking with a local and excellent knower of Kamnik ends, it was clear that better company would be hard to find.
From Kopišč along Martinj path to first junction for Belska kopo (path from second junction easier to follow - there later followed the returnnasmeh) and across forest to saddle and on to summit, from where continuation towards Varvanju. From the cave that was shoemaker workshop during WWII, the path held towards Grdem graben, but midway turned right to natural bivouac with de luxe view towards highest hills of KSA. Then behind the edge and return towards and then along Martinj path with aforementioned detour towards Kopi.
Path without peculiarities; some bushwhacking, bit of scrambling too.

From Kopišč to Belska Kopo. Back to upper junction and then up Martinj path to planina Dol. Descent via boring Dolski graben to valley.
Except for ticks... solitary and nice.nasmeh

Today due to other plans more quickly to Belska Kopa. Just upon arriving at the summit everything was wrapped in fog. On those wet grasses it's a bit annoying, especially due to a couple of fallen trees. Down from the saddle I went directly down the gully to the propped boulder. Short and sweet.nasmeh

Ločanka, there I left the car, if you look at your first picture from Orglic, a bit further right by the road, there's a forest road, there where those few trees are.nasmeh

This Kopa is beautiful. It's been a long time since I last visited it. Especially some other, incomparably wilder approach is extremely interesting. And Mešenik on the other side ... there were times. nasmeh

@Volk, you probably mean the wilder approach via forgotten hunting paths, which Stane once described, back when there were times, the one I mention above.velik nasmeh

Today I almost went without the summit of Kopa.velik nasmeh
Namely, when we arrived via Martinj path to the upper branch for Kopa, that side of the path was newly snow-covered. Whoever walked here knows that a slip on these steep grasses can quickly be fatal. No other way, we descended back to the gully that Grega mentions above and through it to the saddle and to the top. Descent same.mežikanje
Oh, ticks are already up.velik nasmeh

It's true. If you come from Kopišč it's definitely better to turn into the gully than along that narrow path.nasmeh

Today on a nice "spring" day searching for Martinj path, Belska Kopa and cave in Varvanje.nasmeh
The whole path is dry, Martinj path clearly visible, great views from Belska Kopa, path to cave in Varvanje interesting, fights with junipers not missing, but in the end I managed to find this partisan shoemaker's workshop from WWII.jezik
Continuation to Planina Dol and down the gully to starting point.
