A week ago in Gonjače I still caught the full moon before it sank into morning mists. Then long wandering around Korada awaiting the sun and some views of white mountains. For the end, restocking in the very pleasant refreshment place in Vrtače, located right below the turnoff to the hut on Korada.

also a stop at the refreshment hut in Vrtače (a couple of turns below the road)

clouds again covered the sun and there were not many views from the refreshment hut (only to nearby Sv. Gora and Sabotin)

Such a modest height of Korada, yet how many beauties and views of distant mountains it can offer.... All that can be seen in your photo report, Suzana! nasmeh

Korada is really a pleasant hill; the best chance for mountain views is from autumn to spring. The summit is overgrown with forest from the south side; on the north side, meadows stretch out and views open up. For a sea view, one needs to go a bit lower on the south side.
The length of the hike can be adjusted to one's wishes and abilities. One can drive by car almost to the top, so the road is full of motorcyclists and cyclists.

For a trip by car or bike, it is worth extending the route along the Slemenska road to Kolovrat (report 27.12.14):

Since last year this construction shows the top, whatever it is, they could have built it a few meters higher in the forest

three months ago pastures still green, but the mountains were already adorned by the first snow which later completely melted

Today from village Plave to Korada. Windy, but fantastic view. Path overgrown in places with brambles and other flora velik nasmeh

Tolminc, beautiful photos, from Matajur, Krn group, Soča valley and more! Not to mention the view all the way to the sea! What about bora? Has it stopped? nasmeh

While we're on cameras. Who manages them? Some have been out of service for a while. E.g. camera from Šebreljski vrh or camera above Volče.
They often help me decide where to go.

From the village Plave we PD members climbed to the top of Korada. The path is without features. In the valley calm and warm weather, on the top icy bora blows, views from the sea to the Julijci nasmeh

Saturday, 18.12.2021 (bike trip)

Great cycling in Goriška Brda, ascent to Korada a real icing on the cake of the lovely day. Last part of road to hut, gravel, is snowy and icy, there for walkers crampons can come in handy. I rode as far as possible, where not, pushed the bike. Weather divine all day, pleasantly warm, no wind. Korada lightly snowy, how with snow/ice on footpaths below summit I don't know, was on bike on road. Hut was open. "That's my jam" I said to myself when after outing sat behind wheel and looked in mirror velik nasmeh
