In the last days strong S and NW winds have built huge windslabs and cornices, tonight and tomorrow the wind (again NW) in the high mountains will reach speeds up to 80-90km/h. You can just imagine how it will additionally load the poorly bonded and windslab-covered base. Yesterday under Begunjščica someone was swept away again and he was very lucky (+avalanche backpack, which probably played a key role) to survive at all. Besides the slabs on the slope, the cornices above the gully are a problem too - if one breaks off it will sweep away everyone in the gully at that time.

Think carefully if it's really worth it before heading out on unsuitable tours this weekend, like the Turkish gully which is definitely unsuitable right now (and other couloirs and similar steep S slopes). There will be time for that when the base is properly reworked.

Excellent conditions. In the gully nicely trodden, so the base is firm. On the way to the Rinkas morning still firm base, on descent slight thaw starts, but given cold temps, just right. nasmeh

On Sunday I went along the path over Žmavčarje past the bivouac, first to the Rinkas - in order Little, Styrian, Carinthian, Carniolan. From there continued to Turkish Mountain, which was quite visited that day. Before descending back to the valley, a quick jump to Veliki greben - from bivouac direct line up the slope to the highest part of the ridge.
Although it looked cloudy and foggy in the morning, it turned into a great day, above expectations. Snow was soft, wet and sinking in the lower part, higher up it was better and no problems. Most hikers came from Logarska, from Kamniška I think only three of us.
I reach above the clouds that had been lingering over the valley on the S side all day.1

Has anyone recently walked the descent gully to/from the Rinkas?
And how is the traffic in Logarska - is the barrier at the mountaineers' hut still there?

Barrier open, park normally at the end. The gully is fine from what I saw on Thursday. For a change you now have a few cm of snow too
Good luck
