Hi, I'm interested in what the conditions are like at Kotovo Saddle if someone skied there recently; please share the answer.
Thanks!

We were there on Sunday. In the central section, one needs to walk on debris. But the skiing was excellent from the top of the saddle and also in the lower part to Tamar.

New Year's at Kotovo saddle. Though far from noise, bangs echoed clearly in mountains... sky flashing, rockets in distance now and then.

Back to Tamar at hut, meadow littered with pyrotechnic remnants... hope rangers as zealous as with paragliders and cyclists.

Jalovec1
There is a lot of hairy sleča before entering the scree fields2
There are few alpine rhododendrons... there are surviving scree fields.3
Around 2000 m a.s.l. there is a lot of large-flowered leopard's bane.4
Round-leaved dead-nettle is found only among the rocks, really interesting.5
This one has even longer stems... usually it is closer to the ground.6
There is an extraordinary amount of stemless campions and the cushions rival in beauty.7
Stemless campion with a beautiful backdrop.8
With the naked eye everything looks nicer...9
I will label it as a spring marmot, I am not skilled enough for precise separation of marmots.10
At these altitudes the Triglav rose has also started to bloom... I saw some cushions.11
View of Mangart12
I think this is the golden cinquefoil, as it blooms above 2000 m.13
alpine forget-me-not14
Beautiful view of Kotova špica from under a huge log.15
Tamar Valley, which really drags on the return journey...16
Oh, how it smells... I think you have all experienced this in the mountains. Sternberg's pink.17
Naming hawkweeds in the mountains is a real science.... :D18
The woodland cyclamen has really rushed into blooming.19
My better half...:)20
...and little me... quite tired after the scree slope.21

@Enka and Optimist007, thanks to both for what you wrote. nasmeh
I got a tip that Kotovo Saddle is in bloom and went to check. I'd say, like a rifle shot, bullseye, which the shots confirm I think. In my youth, I would surely have dashed velik nasmeh on to Jalovec, but with years one thinks a bit differently and takes time for beauties along the path too. nasmeh
