Kredarica from Krma Valley

Hello! Soon I'm heading to Kredarica, maybe I'll also hop to Triglav, but I'm interested how long it takes a very well-conditioned person to Kredarica from Krma. Officially it says 5h, but from experience I know that time is meant if you walk really slowly.

around 4 hours I think is not too much, it depends on the person, can be a bit faster or even more..

I don't know why you ask so much if you'll just hop, just hop and you'll see,

Should I take small crampons or 12-pointers in current conditions? Ice axe too?

Interesting question, considering it's January 15th...

Conditions were almost summer-like back then. That's why such a question. Isn't this portal meant for informing and asking about conditions?

I've been going to the mountains for just under 50 years - without accident. Thanks for telling me something new with that link. I asked in January just for conditions but got cheeky answers.

Just 5 square meters of frozen terrain, with snow or without, is enough that without proper equipment we can't go forward or back on the planned path. Worst is if we end up at a point where we can't safely go neither forward nor back. This can happen even in summer, let alone winter. And the answers aren't cheeky, but show a kind of disappointment over such questions - which you'd expect more from less experienced hikers or mountaineers. Mass warnings from numerous experienced mountaineers, rescuers, police in various media - that we should still take the mountains according to the season despite apparently friendly conditions - apparently don't stick even for some with 50 years of hiking in mountains... Wrong world!

You're wasting your effort, some won't get it even with 9mm round, nor 88 with anti-tank ammo

Hello! Bravo "djimuzl"! I agree that the above link needs repeating again and again. And mandatory to a course! On safe movement in winter conditions. All that doesn't help if we underestimate conditions. Best regards and safe in the mountains, Swiss

Hello, on Friday we plan to go to Triglav from Krma. Curious about the road condition to Krma? Drivable for Clio or need some SUV already?

At the start of the season it was in very bad condition. But I think they repaired something in between.

Thanks for the answer. I assume no SUV needed hope no special issues for Clio.
