Although the replica of Aljaž Tower on Veliki vrh marks 2114 m.a.s.l., all maps show 2110. Neighboring peak Velika zelenica is 2114.
I saw the sheep 14 days ago near the chapel on Molička.nasmeh

Yesterday early autumn, not winter, just patches of new snow show the end of the year.

Hi!
Dleskovec plateau experts, wonder if there's marked path from Luče joining this loop?

nice hiking greeting!:=)

Seeking any info on road condition to Podvežak pasture. If not plowed, is there an option to park elsewhere, is it plowed to Planinškova farm?

Thanks and best,
Ben

Up to Planinšek it's definitely plowed, since the guy himself maintains the road. Further on foot velik nasmeh

The road to Podvežak is normally drivable up to Planinšek, so you can get to the Podvežak - Ravne junction. Further only with chains velik nasmeh

Larches higher up are fully glowing so I took the chance this afternoon and drove to pl. Ravne (road OK), then to Križevnik and Molička peč, returned via another route. Larches are really beautiful, in full golden color.
pl. Ravne, up to here no problems with the car.1

Yesterday 20.10. did the route Križevnik-Malička peč-Veliki vrh-Dleskovec. Though I've had it in mind for a long time but kept postponing. Yesterday finally with nice weather forecast set off and no regrets. Really one of the nicest this year especially colorful autumn true reward for the past year nasmeh

Given past debates about Molička peč I had a hard time deciding which forum to "stick" this post in, as "Moličko" - whether peak or pasture - has quite a few. This time I visited Dleskovec and Molička peč (2028 m).
Almost ten degrees cooler than in the valley propelled me from pasture Ravne towards Dleskovec. Down there I'd probably writhe in the heat like the viper I encountered below pasture Dolge trate; to the top of Dleska - as some locals also call Dleskovec - it's less than half an hour from there. From the top I descend a faint trail to the marked path from Ravne towards Ojstrica and Korošica. Soon I turn right towards Veliki vrh and Velika Zelenica, following markers to the foot of Zelenica, below which a more or less visible path (also cairns) leads towards the already visible Molička peč. Orientation isn't hard - stick to Zelenica's slopes all the way to the col separating it from its neighbor. To avoid wasting time in dense scree, it's good to check beforehand which path leads to the highest part of the Peč. The view from it into Robanov kot is really deep, but due to crumbly rock on top it requires caution.
Below the summit I find the continuation of the trail towards Poljske device and Križevnik. This section is occasionally harder to follow, but knowing the path sticks to (near) the ridge makes it easier. After half an hour at the fence of pasture Polšak - probably the aforementioned Devica should be Polšakove not "Poljske" - then after twenty minutes at the hut. To the start another hour of varied terrain through forest, light was just enough.
Plenty of larches calling for an autumn visit…

fot7 when you descend this gully to the marked path go a bit back along the path (right) and soon a small path branches left to Jam bivouac. From there no problems to climb to Zelenica or join the path you took.
Just no fog!!!

20.7.2019 we also walked the same route with inserted small off-trail sections. Sun was scorching, altitude didn't help, fantastic views, peace and quiet. Some photos at http://www.pdmaticams-drustvo.si/

Yesterday (8.11.2025) my brother and I tackled this route but in reverse direction (finally climbed Križevnik too). Weather forecast of low clouds was accurate, but Veliki vrh still surprised us pleasantly. Trail easy to follow, footprints in snow helped occasionally. Not much snow, but enough to be cautious (or put on micro crampons). Most tricky is descent from Velika zelenica, rest of route not particularly difficult. Oriented with Garmin GPSMap and PZS map.

Walked about 6 hours, less than 13 km and over 1100m elevation. Sharing track but recommend map more, velik nasmeh.
