Križevnik-Molička Peč-Veliki Vrh-Dleskovec

Print
fpetel115. 10. 2008 19:50:14
Today I visited the mentioned peaks from planina Ravne. The weather was ideal after the morning dew. The path is very nice, there is no snow anymore anywhere. (I hope it stays like that for a whilesmile) The only troubles on the path are caused by brushwood. I had the most trouble with it before the summit of Molička peč. (Poljske device-kota2029m) The ascent to Velika zelenica and Veliki vrh is steep but easy - below the summit I even had to grab with my hands to progress. In some places individual cairns help to find the right direction, elsewhere we must find our way on paths and trails between the brushwood. I warmly recommend to lovers of solitude, romantic souls and all others who like to explore the surroundings a bit to find the right path. The views from the summits are phenomenal. Ojstrica is the most beautiful from Križevnik. From Dleskovec, Veliki vrh replaces it.
Best, Franci

Aha, no pics because I forgot the camera at home. But someone else can upload them instead of me. The yellowing larches are phenomenal.

That's Križevnik. Isn't it? In the back from left to right Olševa, Peca, Raduha. Second pic shows Veliki vrh from the ridge, but from the top of Križevnik. It belongs here too. Larches have autumn colors here too nasmeh

Just as you wrote - I most admire Veliki vrh and have it as background on screen too. It attracted me so much I went up again 3 days after visiting Križevnik (was on summit after approx. 25 years since first visit (felt kinda guilty for not having been there so long). If nice weather continues I'll repeat your route soon!
Regards

Today my wife and I were on Križevnik. Trail is dry, only in shady spots rocks more wet and slippery. Otherwise fairy-tale, even if needles already fallen.
The icicles have already gone a bit lower, but shadows remain.1

And the last steps through the larch fairy tale6
The last wink of golden autumn?7
On the horizon already weather deterioration, perhaps already winter and new natural beauties, but with different color shades than this time?8

Today I walked circular route from Križevnik over Molička peč to Velika Zelenica and Veliki Vrh. On return I did loop to Dleskovec too.
Started at pl. Ravni and via planina Polšak soon reached ridge between Križevnik and Molička peč. Trail not marked but easy to follow and orientation not hard. At start marked with red dots which disappear from pl. Polšak on.
Summit panoramic but surrounding peaks in clouds today.
From summit turned back to ridge and continued towards Molička peč. Trail visible but need to search best passages to avoid dense brushwood. Walking this trail very nice. Recommend to all who love solitude, though met some hikers here too.
Ascent to Velika Zelenica summit somewhat harder and sometimes need hands for climbing.
Neighboring Veliki vrh with big pyramid easy to reach. View from top not full as occasionally fogged. Also pig wind there.
Descended via nicely arranged marked trail to Sedelce and there loop to Dleskovec which also has demanding unmarked trail.
Descent straight through pines back to Sedlo and start.
Really nice circular tour not too demanding orientation-wise though unmarked, nor fitness-wise.

Hello.

Does anyone have the latest info on conditions in this area (for Križevnik), especially regarding the road status (snow) to planina Ravne?

Thanks and best regards.

Today to Križevnik from planina Ravne. Past glowing larches I quickly find myself on Križevnik, so I decide for a circular tour. Continue to Poljske device, Molička peč, due to lack of time skip Veliki vrh and Zelenica. Then via pl. Jezerce to car.
On trail occasional snow, which makes no problems. Trail to Veliki vrh from sedelce newly marked. Road to Podvežak (and also to planina Ravne) in excellent condition.

-at 8am start from planina Ravne to Križevnik, via Poljske device to Veliki vrh, due to heat and again lack of fluidsconfusedconfused skipped >Dleskovec though descent from it to planina Ravne fairly quick. Weather gorgeous - heat too, found out trail to Zelenica, Veliki vrh now marked - from planina Ravne direction, though ascent from Molička peč easy thing.smile

Hi:
I'm wondering where you took the picture of the sheep, most likely a dog chased them, they'll need to be caught!

The sheep were a bit above the pond in picture 28, roughly halfway between Dleskovec and Planšarija on Dolge trate, which is in picture 30. They seemed lost to me too.

Poor sheepies still wandering the alpine pasture. Hope they'll get them down to the valley before winter. Still snow-white fleece, just missing the lamb...
See you've checked the tour we did on Tuesday from this side too.
