Only that path going left and leading directly to the summit was completely impassable some time ago due to fallen trees. But I don't know how it is today. LPN

Today from Martuljek I turned back 100-150m below the summit. Had gear, but south snow, no tracks (only from one guy who had all-wheel drive)

Jasna - Kurji Peak In these days the heat doesn't relent and the crowds in tourist spots don't either. Where you meet no one, only the breath of nature, exactly there is the most beautiful world Path nicely visible in clearings, then steep through the scrub to the summit. You can see not many people go here and let it stay that way Suma sumarum...Svinjak, Kurji Peak, Kalvarije here and there...you struggle to reach the summit

Conditions on 26.7.2023 A nice day invited and the solitude and inaccessibility of Martuljek Mountains too. Already at the entrance to the Martuljek gorge signs warn that both marked paths, Za Akom and Pod Špikom, are closed (to Ingota normally passable – hut open). As you near Jesenje it's clear why. Storms ravaging Slovenia have taken their toll here too. But if you accept extra obstacles on the path and many detours below, above or around, later after leaving the marked path, there are not many fresh fallen trees anymore. Orientation challenges start then. Especially if you are restless and your step too fast. But where there's a will there's a way, if spiced with stubbornness success is guaranteed. My gems for the memory pouch: embrace of Martuljek Mountains accompanying on the path; standing above the spring murmuring under your feet; blueberries sweet-sour offered like an infusion right on time; solitude when you meet no one on the whole path. At PP rock I took the left path and continued too high under Rigljica, the right junction in the scree was really poorly visible and I found it only with maPZS help. Scratched but satisfied, I reached the summit, and returned via the right path nicely bypassing Kurji Peak. In the logbook I saw that most approaches are from KG direction, that path is more trodden. In short: Kurji Peak is a recipe for solitude, pathless terrain with obstacles, boosts focus and calms the mind – hiking mileage essential for success. No dangers on the path.

Yes, hard to meet anyone on Kurji Peak, great trip. Now probably more fallen trees and even harder to follow path. Pictures with descriptions show the path to those who haven't been yet and to us reviving memories, nice.

Thanks, Majdag. Yes, question how it is now there. Because such paths call for more...
