Yesterday on Lisec.
We started the trail at Ravne nad Bohinjsko Bistrico. The trail is now somewhat changed, as the old trail is constantly collapsing.
On the upper road we saw a couple of cars, which indicates the road is already passable.
Almost no snow to Orožnova koča. Further towards Lisec only in shady parts of the pasture behind Lisec.
The ridge to Lisec is also bare, snakes already sunning on sunny slopes 
Clouds pressing from SW all day, but didn't cover Lisec.
Back, stop at friendly Orožnova koča.

This Lisec tempts me for a long time too. Where exactly to start if at Orožnova koča?
Does the path even exist, or do you just go anywhere?

The path really isn't marked, but easy to find.
From Orožnova koča descend to small pond below hut and continue to Črna prst. Overcome small hill and reach nice grassy flat. Across it goes path to Črna prst, you branch right at end, marker huge boulder. Under boulder starts path to Lisec. After 5 min path forks. Straight around Lisec to planina Osredki, you go left. After few min above tree line, enough cairns to follow easily.
Path brings to lowest point of ridge between Č.p. and Lisec. Then just along ridge to top.

Peter, great description, no problem reaching top. First nice views right on ridge, then accompany to summit where beauty opens all around. Worth it, not far, soul fills with joy and freedom, I planned next time path to Črna prst under Lisec ridge.

The path is quite well followable, maybe not the best time for ascent, probably better in spring and autumn when the greenery is not in full swing.

On Friday the path was not well followable Actually it ended at the last cairn. Surely the situation is different in autumn, now - with full lush growth the trail gets lost in the underbrush several times.

Last year to Lisec over the ridge, start from Črna Prst. Mostly walked on ledges and roots of scree, which were the most reliable steps. Otherwise at the main ridge saddle it still shows that a path branches to the side ridge, but it gets lost very quickly. Bushwhacking to the Lisec summit is still tolerable, completely different experience is the direct descent towards Orožnova koča. Didn't find the path, as everything is completely overgrown. Luckily had hiking poles with which I thoroughly probed the terrain ahead. Definitely not in vain, saw at least one snake that literally slithered from under my feet. The view from Lisec is really wonderful.

Today my friend and I, one with snowshoes and one dog, trampled the path from Orožnova koča to the Lisec ridge. When the fog lifted, the world around was a true winter fantasy. Snow about 60 cm, powder, towards the top a bit of crust... pure pleasure.
At Franci's it was beautiful as always. Thanks for such a nice day, mountains and people

On the web we read: Alpine eryngo, Eryngium alpinum, which is also called queen of the mountains in some places......
On yesterday's walk to Lisec many could agree with this statement! Of course it's not the only plant enchanting on Lisec these days..

As far as I know path to Lisec was never marked. Faded marks indicate old path to Črna prst. Path to Lisec was (I think two years ago) arranged and marked (three-color ribbons, some signs) by Orožnova hut warden. Now very well trodden, so followable even without marks - no more talk of pathless...
