You did it well, but you still don't know how to enjoy the beauty of nature

Dejan, my suggestion: On the ridge put a 20 kg backpack, take 4-5 days, repeat the same route in those 4-5 days, then you'll think you walked in a completely different world last time!!! Otherwise, congrats for the achievement and the time needed for the route. But most of us go to the mountains to enjoy. Try that kind of therapy sometime, it's less dangerous, although I don't doubt your mental and physical abilities at all, it's just a completely different feeling if you can stop somewhere and enjoy nature without time pressure, being safe before dark is important, then next day on, what do you think?

It's eternal bickering, but anyway let me say once more: misconception that with fast walking (or running) you can't enjoy and enjoyment only in slow traveling. Everything has its charm.

As @jax wrote: Everything has its charm. Especially if you're young and full of energy, which we older ones sorely lack. Congratulations and safe running steps!

Thanks for congrats. I'll skip MANGRTA's comment cuz it's dumb (comment). I still know how to enjoy plenty, if you don't get it one is training, the other is relaxed, recreational in hills. There are plenty of pics, from that 9h30 time I had 2h rest in between. Too bad no pie at Kamnik hut, which is by far the best http://www.mojalbum.com/dejanstasy/daljsa-gorska-trail-etapa-26-10-13 lp

Really bravo and congrats! I don't get those either, if you run you just can't enjoy or what? Some enjoy downhill some slalom, some even both disciplines you think? Heh. Get it, even running you can enjoy. Everyone enjoys their *discipline*, some running, some hiking (or properly walking), others on couch before TV. Anyway see you have Kanadia, I just "tested" them on Storžič, Krim and Nanos, so actually all terrains, SUPER they are.

Dejan, I join the congrats too. Since it's hard for me too to walk really slow, I believe you enjoyed the feat. In last years I covered KSA few times too, setting out early July when day longest. Start at sunrise from bivouac in Koča, visit 13 two-thousanders descend via Korošica, Presedljaj and Kamniška Bela in dusk to car. Good is long day, bad carry lots fluid cuz daytime temps much higher than October, and I have some 30 springs more than you and step bit slower.

I fully understand redbull. Fast movement, fast enjoyment. When one gets older, walking slows down, enjoyment lengthens and we're all happy. Anyway, congrats for the tour.

...or as someone wrote, put heavy backpack on shoulders... Everything changes right away, balance no longer obvious . I congratulate too and agree with primoza's post. Regards and luck!

When you're alone even if very fast, you still have lots of moments in memory; if in company, you devote yourself only to it, conversations, surroundings stay with fewer moments in memory. The longer you walk, the more tired you are than if you do at least 400-500m elevation/hour.

The backpack weighs around 5 kg, on the whole tour I drank 1.7 liters of hydration. My 45 l backpack usually weighs around 11-12 kg with full gear (crampons, ice axe, rope...).

Congrats Dejan also from my side. Hats off for such an express crossing of KSA - you're a real chamois and antelope in miniature . I think Tržiških 10 would be a challenge for you. Have you maybe already done any of that - K24, Tržiških 10 or run to Grintovec? LP

Grintovec already, k24, and some extreme grintovcev probably next year I'll try, need a bit more km and ultra trail Krk tempts me too. lp

Eh, it's similar to houses. Some arrange their house so it's a pleasant home for them, others so they can show off with it to the wide world. Every calf has its own vesele, right?
