Well, we somehow ended up in Žaga and then while walking realized we'd chosen the longest approach  .
Yes, the entire crossing of Little Baba is short but demanding. To Great Baba we went right from their saddle, well a bit further towards Dolina...on photo 18, where you reach the "edge" and spot Dolina, we turned left over grass to the wall. We descended towards saddle Med Baban.

Today from Žaga along unmarked paths to planina Baban. Snow starts a bit below the planina. I continue up the valley towards Velika Baba. The snow mostly held. I climb to about 1900m, there the fog thickened so much that in combination with the diffuse light I couldn't see even a meter in front of me. I pace around a bit and hope the wind would come to my aid, but there's not even a breeze. I decide to turn back and barely follow my own tracks. Below the planina I head to the marked path, from it soon I turn onto a nice mulatjera that rises a bit, then traverses the slopes towards Skutnik. No views, but at least under the foggy curtain. When I join the path leading to Skutnik, I descend via Osredek and past the wonderful Globoški waterfall back to the starting point.
It was a nice day, despite missing the sun.

Yes, fog in the mountains is even more unfriendly to me than strong wind. Anyway, you made a nice tour. I would like to repeat the great tour Žaga-Visoki Kanin once more in my life, but I can probably cross it off, since the prospects for a new cable car (for the return) are too distant.

Yes, probably really no point waiting for the cable car. Well, given how mountain-active you are, your legs would probably bring you back to the valley too?
I wanted to upload a few more pics too, but I can't. Well, anyway there's mostly fog on all of them.

Ride to B station and hide the bike there in the bushes. Then by car back to the valley and to Žaga, from where the ascent to Visoki Kanin follows. Descent to ITA side and overnight in Gilbertiju. Next day to Prevala, can take the gondola, no need to walk, and down the Krnica valley to station B, there to the bike and comfortably almost all the way downhill to Žaga, where you have the car. Everything can be done if you want to
