It was nice yesterday on Mala Osojnica, nicer than on Ojstrica. The sunshine also enhanced the views. Leaves are still clinging to the trees and autumn is still beautiful. nasmeh

Today we Četrkovci -retirees section of PD Škofja Loka- went on a beautiful tour through the surrounding hills around Bled. First we went from Bled center along the unmarked eastern path to Straža. It's quite steep -in between even secured with a cable. The path takes us to the Straža ski slope, which is being snowed on. Then along the marked path past Rikli's monument to Mlin. From Mlin to Zaka to the marked path to Mala Osojnica. This path is not so innocent, as we overcome it with the help of cables, steps and safety railings. The top of Mala Osojnica offers the best view of Lake Bled. From there also to Velika Osojnica and Ojstrica. To Ojstrica the ascent is a bit more demanding-rocky, but the ascent is short. Back to the Rowing center, where transport was waiting for us.

Past this beautiful hotel on the eastern path to Straža.

The path itself is not marked, but equipped with signs.

Mlino-Interesting duck, which is rare here - female great grebe. Told heinz.

On Mala and Velika Osojnica and Ojstrica.

There were quite a few firefighters today.

Yesterday for the first time on this path, first to Mala and Velika Osojnica, then also to Ojstrica. The day was just right for this visit, as the views were really as one expects here.
Excellent indeed!

Others took advantage of that too, as there were many tourists on the path, especially many admirers of the view on Ojstrica, among them lots of Japanese.

..Ojstrica, Velika and Mala Osojnica.. The path to the steps is icy in several places. Past Ojstrica to V. and M. Osojnica it's nicely passable. Velika Osojnica has no views, but they are nice at the viewpoint of Mala Osojnica. A bit more snowy whiteness and the winter idyll will be perfect... nasmeh

Today we walked around Lake Bled and then for the first time climbed to Mala Osojnica, Velika Osojnica and Ojstrica. We park at the paid parking in Zaka, continue past the Muzealcev Home to the viewpoint at M. Osojnica, continue to V. Osojnica, then descend via Ojstrica back to the start. The path is nice, maintained and sufficiently well marked.

Women's Day, to Ojstrica and Mala Osojnica...
The paths are dry, I met only four people. Birds are chirping, snow-capped mountains make the views even more beautiful. nasmeh

Yesterday for the first time from Zaka to Mala and Velika Osojnica and then en route also to Ojstrica. Followed by a walk around Lake Bled. The day despite the forecast very nice, lots of sun, also some small drops. Some were already swimming. Water not cold at all. nasmeh

The path is well protected, steel cables fresh paint

Something special is the view of this staircase :))

The top of Velika Osojnica is overgrown, just a few meters lower however...

In the company of sunshine - Ojstrica and M. Osojnica - 2.2.
Wet snow is falling from trees and rocks and icicles are forming. Descent via ladders is not the best choice, lots of falling snow on them. Views beautiful on both viewpoints. Our Bled is beautiful. Enjoy the pictures and have a nice time. nasmeh

Today's day was a good choice for Mala and Velika Osojnica and Ojstrica. A very nice short walk with viewpoints. No parking right at the start of the gravel road. But a few meters higher, a junction where we left the car as we didn't notice the ban there. Judging by the number of parked cars upon return, I assume it's ok. What experiences? LP

We both have several times noticed inspectors at work there, as I remember it's private path there.

We always park at railway station, beforehand arrange in the pub, they explain where we can leave car (so inspectors surely leave it alone).
As warm-up for these viewpoints we walk to start in Zaka, on way back go to that pub for drink, rather give them couple euros than overpriced parking. Friendly, normal prices, recommend! mežikanje

21.1. windy day. Path from Zaka bare in places, mostly icy. Views a bit different, beautiful even without sun. Little snow on trees, wind blew it off. Only higher in forest some remained. Stairs not trampled so returned on ascent path. On Ojstrica and M. Osojnica I was alone. Many walkers around lake. Tomorrow, on Tuesday, winter swimming starts in regatta center. nasmeh
