The morning when I headed from Trenta through Trebiški dol was sleepy, although I walked briskly with ears 'on alert' hoping no furry beast would appear. Continuing from the saddle Čez dol I forgot my bunny nature, as the steep hills I planned to visit drew closer. So I first ascended Zadnja Lopa, then followed Malo Špičje, Goriški rob, Veliko Špičje and all unnamed peaks in between. I descended towards 7J, but at around 2030 m went pathless to the left to Veliki Grad and continued through rocky scree terrain seeking nice or to-my-liking passages above Ledvička. When I stepped back onto the marked trail, I lazily continued to the hut on Prehodavci and descended through Zadnjiški dol to the morning starting point.

boštjanko, the 'culprit' for realizing this high-alpine walk was your post. nasmeh

j., peek at the map also SW of V. Grada. The little peaks seem very suitable for exploring, but maybe on some cooler day. nasmeh

Since I plan to catch the sunrise on Špičje, I'm wondering if the water at the Hut at Triglav Lakes is always available outside? (backpack would weigh a few kg less over Komarča in this casenasmeh )

At the beginning of last November, no. I think the tap is open as long as the hut is operating, then no.

Now there shouldn't be a problem.

You can still buy 8.5 mg water disinfection tablets in every Sanolabor store.

29.6. from Trenta to Zadnja Lopa and Little Špičje.

Wonderful day above the Valley of Seven Lakes, one of the most beautiful highlands for me.
Path without features, just a little snow along the path to Prehodavci - just for refreshment. nasmeh Also on the continuation of the path to Big Špičje according to two hikers there is no more snow. But there are still some snow patches towards Zelnarice.
Met quite a few hikers on Špičje. Even more on the way back to Trenta. A friendly girl explained to me that they have
celebration of the 70th anniversary of the hut at Prehodavci...

Is there any harder climbing to Veliki Grad or does it go ok? I would go from the Komarča direction.

A few years ago I went down from Špičje to Grad. No, nothing is demanding, just the passages through bushes and harder parts need to be found.

But from Grad there is a wonderful view of Ledvička

And there really was a nice view of Ledvička despite the changing weather on Saturday. I did the route from Savica towards the Hut at Triglav Lakes and via Stanko Kos path to Veliko Špičje, in between a jump to Veliki Grad. Continuation to Goriški Rob, Malo Špičje, Zadnje Lope to Prehodavci and also a jump to Vodnikov Vršac. Then via the Valley of the Lakes back to Savica. Changing weather the whole way, fog, wind, also a bit of sun. All paths normally passable. More or less only foreigners everywhere. Quite some drinking at the Hut at Triglav Lakes. On the return over Komarča at an already late hour, almost 7 pm, still quite a few Czechs going up in the opposite direction. All without exception in light fitness sneakers, some even without backpack, out of breath, exhausted already here at the start. Hope it all ended well for them. Attaching a few photos.

29.6. from Trenta to Zadnja Lopa, Little Špičje, Goriški rob, Big Špičje and over the Valley of the Seven Lakes to Prehodavci and back to Trenta.

For some time the idea of a circular tour over the wonderful ridge of Lepega Špičja has been ripening in me.
Path without features, on the ridge path met only 3 female hikers. Temperatures in the highlands very pleasant, only the sun burned mercilessly.
Descent to the Valley of Seven Lakes dragged on but was worth the effort. No need to waste words on the beauty of the lakes. But I was surprised by chamois and marmots along the path. They were not scared of encounters at all and even let themselves be photographed.
Arrived at Prehodavci and the hut already "on fumes" as my drinks ran out below Zeleno jezero. No need to emphasize how the beer went down that I had been dreaming about all afternoon...nasmeh
Got to the valley already in the dark but full of unforgettable impressions.
In total almost 2300m altitude and under 35 km.
