Hello.

Soon maybe I'll do this trip: Stara Fužina – Hudičev most – Studor – Hudičev most – Mostnica Gorges – Koča na Vojah – Okrepčevalnica Slap Voje – Mostnica Waterfall – return to Koča by other road, east of Mostnica – maybe by road to start

Is it really free parking at that big parking NW of Stara Fužina by road to Vogar/Blato/Voje currently or till end of March? Because I read 1.50 EUR/hour (1.4. to 31.10.). I assume if you don't go further than that parking now, you don't need to pay road toll which is 10 EUR daily and apparently paid all year?

Is it better to do the gorges trip in non-winter time or drier, when probably safer overall? Is there any snow there and can you pass without issues? Nearby webcams show snow in valley just a sample. Hope it's still nice to see in current conditions or do you recommend waiting for spring for the real experience of these gorges and Voje valley with surroundings?
Is there any fee for visiting gorges?

Mostnica Gorges, Voje Hut, Mostnica Waterfall was my excursion on Wednesday. There's still snow at Mostnica Gorges, it's slippery. Otherwise the water has created wonderful shapes, small waterfalls, pools. The hut or Voje Lodge stands in a beautiful place. Access there is possible also by car, I met one. But further on you can't drive, only on foot. To Mostnica Waterfall there's a circular path. The nicer and also shorter one is past the refreshment hut. It leads through the beautiful Voje Valley. On Wednesday 26.08.2020 I took my village retirees to Stara Fužina / Bohinj to see Mostnica gorges, Voje and Mostnica waterfall. We started in Stara Fužina towards Blato pasture and went on the left path to Voje pasture. Now it's simply called Voje. Not long ago Voje served as pre-pasture for summer grazing of livestock. When grazed they drove them to higher pastures Spodnji Tosc and Zgornji Tosc. Those times are long gone. Nowadays they only mow Voje. Only a few goats are grazed here. Voje have become a typical abandoned pasture. Old stane or shepherd huts are converted into holiday objects - some new ones even stand. At the beginning of Voje stands nice Dom v Vojah managed by PD Srednja vas v Bohinju. At the end of Voje a nice private hut awaits us at the waterfall. Just fifteen minutes further the beautiful Mostnica waterfall awaits us. It flows all year. On the way back we went on the left side back and viewed the beautiful gorges of Mostnica river. A beautiful figure called Little Elephant surprises us. Here the stream flows over small waterfalls, makes pools and then hides in deep gorges. Deep below by the path with fence the greenish Mostnica roars and doesn't care for the hustle of numerous visitors above. There was a huge crowd. The day was beautiful. Such a day retirees always end in the nearest inn. I won't advertise locals around there. Find out yourself which is the best.

You can simply enjoy the roaring of the water.

Hut at the waterfall - excellent service - highly recommend.

Very nice trip for everyone - worth seeing - definitely.

Yesterday really nice day for visiting Mostnica gorges, walk through Voje valley and to the waterfall there. Spring flowers along the whole path, beautiful views into sunlit water, waterfall yesterday also in its rich form. Well, at least I think so, although it was only my second time there.

It's been two years already since our tireless ločanka posted the last nice pics under this title.

On Thursday we retirees DU Britof-Predoslje (neighbors of Brda castle) went to Bohinj. This time there was no rain. We headed to the pleasant cool of Mostnica gorges, past Voj valley which was once pasture alpine meadow and also to see Mostnica waterfall. At Voj start we had picnic too. The club even treated us to transport. We had really fine.
