You're right pikec, not worth it. Otherwise I completely agree with Kozorog.

,,both,, I mean prokofjev and Fleksarca. gregcs1, you're making fun like that of pictures which copyright-wise aren't even yours, we can meet somewhere, understand where? Picture isn't artificial, if you don't know how to shoot, that's your problem and use filters like Hoya hd pol-cir....

pikec1 don't get upset they are just provocateurs! I myself have this same Jalovec picture on desktop at work and it wakes me up every day for good morning instead of coffee which I don't drink! It's really awesome!

Oh god pikec1, yeah some really don't get the joke. Anyway, not every post is a provocation, it can be some fun too, but what can you do when some just don't get it, like into the air .

... where are you now those who back then had some profound critiques about this picture? So I won't stay quiet, in the sense of suppressed f..., I too last year gave an opinion on this photo, which is still the same, beautiful, artistically refined, but to our human eyes this isn't visible in nature itself - and I never iron my pics whatever they are, well sure there's also technique and its gadgets. ... pikec you can be proud of posting photos, copyrights probably brought you something too Best regards!

pikec1, don't equate me with prokofjev j.r. because it's not the same person. Since I got threats from Bovec bakery because of my comments, I don't post anymore. To me your pictures seem very nice

Ouch pikec, you're one of a kind! Fleksarca is the only one who hit the essence of my post. Calm down a bit, drink some beer, and please stop [with the] threats. If I want such photo, I won't steal 80kb icon from net, but pack gear, set tripod on ridge peak, put nd grad filter on lens (definitely not polarizing one you mention) and press shutter. At home convert raw file, and btw fix white temp, contrasts, and sharpness (needed on photos of almost all DSLRs). Hope you hit essence of this post and we don't meet somewhere, understand where

Photos are an excellent addition to the forum on current conditions in the mountains, which sometimes say more than the description alone. I try to round off the whole route with pictures, meaning from the starting point to the summit and back. In between, of course, everyone who knows how to observe the surroundings at least a bit gets some photo idea, and so the so-called "snapshots" are created, which succeed more or less. The forum has many good, even excellent photographers and it's always nice to look at their pictures, so it surprises me when some write that they are too good for posting, yet post them under another nickname. Well, it's each individual's matter. I never edit pictures, so they are as an average camera makes them. But in winter I participated in some contest and....

Congratulations pikec1, you were right to show that nice cover, likewise to you Igor for the second prize, -I also have a picture on the book cover for the Frischauf hut anniversary. But I don't agree with all who are against retouching pictures on the forum, because upside-down, unlevelled, blurry etc just show the author's opinion that everything is fine for others, which isn't right. Last week I was on a 3-day tour in Southern Velebit and out of 360 pictures I deleted 100, because in a year I wouldn't want to browse through the mess and get mad at myself why I was so sloppy. Sorry, that's my opinion.

All who moan about "retouching" pictures should know that raw data from the sensor of ALL (all!) digital cameras are completely "lousy" to look at. Every digital camera has a processor that automatically converts those raw data into a photo you see on LCD or monitor. (so you see only the result of automatic "retouching" of your pics) And the "quality" (colors, contrast, brightness, ...) of the photo we see depends on that raw data processing in the processor. Of course it depends how the conversion is written. Some cameras have better, some worse. Depends also on conditions, light, .... And luck that it all fits together (conditions --> conversion script, ....) Some just take it into their own hands and do the conversion themselves. Of course you have to do it with feeling, otherwise you quickly get unnatural. And also: most professional, good pics are "retouched", manually processed if you will.. Of course with feeling If someone wants to educate further: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raw_image_format

Skrajnik... I completely agree with you.. I too have read quite a lot about photo processing... to your comment I'd add that the "tapametni" can for starters buy some book... say from Matjaž Intihar - or go to a course there... If we're honest even classic photos with classic film were processed. Of course less.. matter of the developer and photographer and chemical composition of the developer...

Kozorog..... what does "tapametni" mean and doesn't everyone have the right to express their opinion?
