Mrzli vrh (Loncmanova Sivka)

Just a stone's throw from the slightly higher Sivka stands this peak just under 1000 meters high, today's goal of a trip into the (initially) unknown from PD Medvode. A bit of winter driving in the morning to the starting point in Žiri, then into deep snow and after a good two hours we stood on the Cold Peak viewpoint. The morning already showed it would be sunny, but it wasn't, it was quite windy, snow drifting and shaking the spruces. Well, that's why winter is different from other seasons and special. Maybe one could really even like it?  We returned along the road and stopped for a good lunch at the farm tourism Pr Jureč on Ledine, as they themselves say, on the border of Adriatic and Black Sea waters. Since it's already heading towards Idrija, couldn't go without žlikrofi, which went down great with the exceptional friendliness of the host and his wife. Late afternoon back home in snowfall and almost festive atmosphere. We wished for many more joint paths in the new year, they'll surely be beautiful.

@Lidija Jesih that about watershed won't hold. House from which water flows to Adriatic sea and other side to Black sea, is at Razpotje. Old house at crossroads for Ledine has this primacy. Somewhere there exists a sign of this sight. If I find it, it will be posted. Just come more to our places, full of sights. Nice greeting

Could be, I wrote they themselves say so. On their brochure it writes so. Sounds good, even if maybe not entirely true, right?  Attaching confirmation.

In picture No. 14 it's not Porezen, but Blegoš, to the right of Blegoš then Koprivnik and Mladi vrh.
On Wednesday, December 6th, we hiked the path from Ledine over Sivka, Bevk's peak to Kladje. We waded in deep snow. It was really a nice sunny day, in one word gorgeous.

Will have to go up there in the sun sometime, there were no views from the third picture at all. I already got scolded for Porezen.

Lidija, don't take my comment as scolding. I myself have an enviable mileage, but there's still something new to find.
For such a planned route as we did, proper logistics is also needed. Easiest with hired transport that drops you where you want and picks you up at the agreed place.
Judging by your pictures, you have good company for discovering nice spots.
In the coming new year, I wish you and your companions plenty of beautiful moments and safe paths. Julius

The peaks in Žiri area are unjustly neglected, as there are very few trip reports from there. Well, they were for me until recently too, but my opinion completely changed after two trips. Today we both were on this tour for the first time, but despite the foggy day and no view at all from the top, there was no disappointment. Quite the opposite, the enthusiasm for the path and the landscape, which towards the top was more felt than seen, didn't diminish but strengthened in plans for earliest repetition of the tour and extension to that other Sivka which is a bit higher and connect into a circular route from some other starting point.
Today we started the tour in Stari Žiri and due to not knowing other paths and fog, returned the same way. It wasn't superfluous, although initially planned differently. The track was made along the whole path, but not many fresh traces. Maybe more hikers with better weather.

Beautiful views, but only 14 days if snow doesn't cover them meantime. Crocuses fading, ramsons coming. Lots already around and below Mrz’lk hut.

I doubt there are any left. They were like that on 23.3.
