How nice to talk and write about those who don't hide behind nicknames, about their personal life and insult them and invent things about them from the safe bulwark of anonymity.

Cebelca, if what you say is true, are you then in danger? Because you sign with name and surname? I see many users don't treat you well. Do you still dare to go calmly to the street? Asking because I don't know how it is if not anonymous. I am in the safe bulwark of anonymity as you say.

Then you demand that a person introduce themselves with name and surname? What benefit do you get from that? Only harm. Even judging by past quarrels on this portal. So I'll remain anonymous.

Even if I introduce myself with name and surname, when you google me you'll find a few of my namesakes. And then you'll be really confused, because they surely stole my identity or I stole theirs. Best to start using EMŠO.

Bravo gorolazka! Maybe the persons involved will realize that anonymity isn't the point, but what you post. Maybe someone will eventually regret because of the posted nonsense and bad advertising that they didn't stay anonymous. Or rather, someone probably ALREADY regrets it

And let's also publish the residence, so someone can throw a molotov into the living room if they insult someone as a Sunday hiker or something similar Say you let the air out of someone's tires in front of the block because you found them, because they called you a jerk on hribi.net.

There's only one solution - real meeting. Then no one will talk nonsense anymore

I suggest we also publish profile pictures, just like it has become customary in CVs, so we can then give stars to who is pretty. Of course the pretty one will get all bad ratings

You are a big sinner, miri, because you don't have your name and surname published and you are in the safe enclosure of anonymity. Is that why you posted this picture?

There have been some arguments against anonymity already, but from events of the last, say, 24 hours in this thread we can draw the following: Who left this portal because others ribbed them or were targets of personal attacks? Non-anonymous! Mostly. Let's see: MajaO, Juš(temporarily anyway or no longer participates in expert debates), IgorZlodej(temporarily), LG(attempt to oust from portal, which didn't succeed),... All good writers. Of course, tastes can differ; we wouldn't argue about them, they were certainly fruitful and gave useful info when needed, even via ZS. And - they were non-anonymous. Therefore much easier to push them out. Because to resist provocateurs they'd have to stoop to their level or hit back! That would harm especially those publicly exposed outside the portal too. This is the purpose of the chase for non-anonymity: to more easily 'rib down' unwanted portal members. Honest and well-meaning members (those easiest to rib) will sign up with real names and surnames, provocative and minus accounts will have fake data. And instead of non-anonymity benefiting the portal, it will harm it.

@VanSims "So this is the purpose of the hunt for non-anonymity: so unwanted portal members can be more easily 'taken down'. Honest and well-meaning members (those easiest to take down) will register with their real names and surnames, provocative and minus accounts will be equipped with fake data. " And which of these two groups do you count yourself in?

VanSims you forgot Turbota for sure. I myself asked for deletion from this forum (nick Anya) due to disagreement with the post deletion regime (some can type anything they want, others get quick comment deletions) and returned with new nick, because this is the page where I still learn most about current state in mountains and maybe with advice and state on hiked path can help someone. Anonymity up or down...I announce from different IPs - home, at work, from mobile... I see no sense in not using multiple nicks, since the editors of this page have full right to delete all that doesn't fit here...

Ah that's how it is, it shouldn't bother you and you think if someone insults someone as a donkey, he's on the level of an orangutan. Always one ear in, the other out.

It can also be viewed from the positive side. True, some good writer left, but some provoker also left.
