New bivouac under Skuta, short film
|

Hello! I posted a new thread about the bivouac under Skuta so that as many forum visitors as possible can find the mentioned video recording. Since more similar projects are expected in our mountains in the near future, I was actually pondering how to publish this at all. Currently, a new film about the bivouac on Kanin ledges is also in the works, but only halfway realized, as the last attempt to place the bivouac in December 2015 unfortunately failed. These projects are mostly about sponsorship and donor approaches as well as huge volunteering, which also applies to us - a few enthusiasts preparing these short films. From my point of view, it involves exceptional efforts, as you need to take along, besides mountaineering gear and food, clothes for two days, also a lot of filming gear that extremely hinders movement on the terrain. Sometimes you literally puked from the effort. There weren't few cases when backpacks tore from the weight. At the same time, for such a product it means multiple visits to the location to get as many diverse shots as possible. In the end, every moment of such an experience is worth more than gold. Mountaineers certainly understand this, right? Anyway, watch and enjoy. Enthusiasm drives us all forward and much new and beautiful awaits us. Good luck Watch the film here: Bivouac under Skuta

Igor, possible. I personally wasn't at the location lately because I was sick - but I was at the summit in November when they also tried to place it, but then the helicopter due to fog with the load didn't take off at all... Then I was walking down with the guy who currently manages the Peter Skalar hut (cavers)...

@carniolus, I figured that from this, because one from the group, when we were returning, had his backpack strap torn, and one then had stomach problems when Čevap drove us to the valley.

Awesome! Wonderful! Really because of such a bivouac the surroundings are even prettier! And that foggy sea below that just rolls. True praise to all organizers of the work in this or that way.

All bivouacs in our Alps could be like this one on Skuta...

Full cool! (Film too, even more the bivouac; reminds of /vanished?/ spirit of old Jesenice guys...) Personally I really appreciate all bivouacs in the mountain world. If the route is too long or weather turns bad, it doesn't matter what kind it is, just that it is there!! And not too much advertising, already too many Italian old men hunting up there . Thanks, guys, and good luck!

Bivouac is of course disgusting - pure wanking of academic urban architects.

I think you are much more g...... yourself, with your wanking. Maybe you'll see it up close sometime, which I strongly doubt.

Samo is some poor chicken! Always against majority thinking right and logical! Needs conflict, probably missing something in life.

Thank God we live in such a liberal society where the "majority thinks correctly and logically! Blessed are the poor in spirit PRESS

Tinky, I really haven't seen this one up close yet, but I have seen the previous one quite often. Don't say it was something special, but it wasn't such a monument to architects. Hey, why do you care if I don't like it. You like it, I don't ... Unless you think I must dance how the majority whistles?

Pointless with such people, since my attic wasn't to his taste either. On Jakob I met a colleague, almost a neighbor, who said that precisely because of such individuals he doesn't want to publish up there. He says he doesn't know why someone immediately comments attacks on something different from his thinking, instead of just reading if the thing interests him. Then whole circuses of some general matters are created that have nothing to do with mountains. Finally I think no one can 100% claim that it holds equally for all people, not conditions and equipment in mountains, even less how someone approached the mountain. From the trip one reports only bare conditions (snow, ice, other path circumstances), what we see and no comparisons of how someone reaches the top and with what equipment and time.

Samo, Bivouac under Skuto can annoy you only because you didn't make it yourself
