Definitely better nasmeh Probably the guys who went over Zajčja polica to Pelce also "led" you higher to the krnica Prehodec, from there you went more directly to Nizki vrh. The former path you noticed on the GPS (leading towards Osojnik) almost no longer exists, or it is very hard to follow.
The reverse direction of your yesterday's circular path is really better nasmeh

Picture 2: GPS is wrong. Surely you weren't that close to Skutnik.

djimuzl, first we went quite nicely up that slope through the grasses. Then Marijan figured out we should go right. There were quite demanding terrains. High grasses, bushes, and we decided for the Osojnik saddle directly. Wasn't a bad decision either. drapr, maybe it's Špičica and Skutnik is further?

Yes, Skutnik is further ahead. Under Špičica, however, you were.

From Bavšica along the overgrown mountain path to the hunter's hut Bukovec. Here to the left and along the little path through the forest above Bukovski koriti. When you step out of the forest, the biggest difficulty of the ascent appears, a very overgrown section but somehow traceable section of "path" to the Dolič valley. Through Dolič there are no issues, as the Vrh Osojnik pass is a constantly good guide. Descent from the Vrh Osojnik pass through Osojnik is again more by feel, but if you know where to go, you somehow break through to the steep gully that leads to Balo right above the Prevala pass.

(5.7.2024) From Bavšica to Prevala. There we turned somewhat higher into the dwarf pines. We struggled through with difficulty. Also lost some time. At the parking lot there were two lads who were setting off to Pelce. Later we watched them on descent. No others. A known path for us. Already walked here about three times. Maybe somewhat forgot the steepness that doesn't ease up to the top. Weather really July-like. Unstable. At the top stayed without views. And cooled down too. Had to get dressed. Descent by the ascent path. Just that descent through the dwarf pines skipped and went somewhat lower. Then you come to the path going to Plešivec. Pathless parts demanding. Caution needed because of holes in the grasses. Now high and don't know what's below. Definitely nice tour in solitude. Where few go. Let it stay that way. 1475 elevation gain and 12 km.
