Left in the distance is Antelao, right Monte Pelmo.

So you don't strain too much. In my opinion, left is Tofana di Rozes, right Cristallo. Photo taken under Rž above Stanič. Coordinates point to those mountains, Cristallo definitely right. Let an expert correct me if something is wrong.

@Viharnik, your picture quite resembles Jalovec and Mangart, although obviously not them.

Correction: no theory that these are Tof. di Rozes and Cristallo, here's why: 1. too far to be seen like that from that position, too many three-thousanders in between, before Cortina 2. left of 'Tof. di Rozes' there are no Tof. di Mezzo and Tof. di Dentro 3. Cristallo group is quite long, on your picture it's one distinctly compact mountain 4. AND also the gap between Tofanami and Cristallo is larger So I don't know what it is, but mountains around Cortina definitely aren't...

Not Dolomites, not three-thousanders. The left peak is very famous. They are Alps closer to us. I'll reveal if no one guesses, but for now I don't want to be the fun spoiler.

@mirank: if you guessed like I did (here) then it doesn't count. Otherwise, congratulations of course. Since I didn't know exactly where @viharnik was standing, I obviously took a slightly too high viewpoint, where besides the above mentioned and Zwölferspitze (those are on the picture) Gamskofel also appears.

I think it's fair that if the author doesn't know the solution, he writes it right away when he sets the riddle... Those about Dolomites and Pelmo and Antelao are really clueless...

I moved the viewpoint a bit lower now (here). Viš and Montaž, which I initially suspected, are left of this picture, a bit further left then really Dolomites with Pelmo, Antelao, Tofana,... or just their part, because Triglav covers afterwards.

@pepč: Of course they are visible, but they look and actually are much farther than in this case...

I think Mirank got the riddle right. I myself wasn't sure what was back there, that's why the riddle.

Well, let's move things forward a bit. On the next picture, identify as many peaks as possible! I admit, I don't know all of them - about five or six I do. If I learn some new ones, that's good too
