Today we did the mentioned tour. First time we went through Turski žleb - really special experience. At the top fog somewhat spoiled the super experience. Then ascent to Turska gora, followed by descent through "bottomless barrel" and Kotliče, and ascent to Brana. As for the fog, same song everywhere. Visibility was normal only towards Logarska valley. Even worse at Kamniško sedlo - fog you could cut with a knife and it got incredibly cold. Followed by descent to Okrešelj. But overall - super tour!!!

Can I ask how demanding the Turski žleb is, how long the hike is and if it's particularly demanding anywhere?

We walked almost the same path, but descended Brana, time didn't allow more. If you search a bit through the tour descriptions - hikes on this side, you'll find everything you're interested in, that the path through Turski žleb is described in the guide 50 climbing paths marked as demanding, but that's subjective opinion, which holds according to that difficulty scale, ... LP!

Regarding the climbing part, Turski žleb is quite demanding, but extremely well secured. Most demanding at the beginning of the climbing path. If you don't trust your abilities, in my opinion it's recommended to use a via ferrata set, alternative is to climb up the middle of the gully (on scree) but I think there's even greater danger of falling rocks there. From the start of the gully to the top it took about 30 minutes (didn't even look at the watch) From Okrešlj to the gully about 2 hours.

I counted from left to right. If it's off then PANDA please tell me which peak is on the left side. The more I look the more I think I'm right. lp

I assume you took the picture from the top of Turski žleb. The right one in the picture (you cut off the nicest part) is Mrzla gora, far left is Mrzli vrh. LP

A bit of opinion please... a tour awaits me Okrešelj) Turski žleb-Veliki podi-Mlinarsko sedlo-Grintavec-Dolska škrbina-Češka koča, variant Grintavec-Cojzova koča-Dolša škrbina-Češka koča-Ledine-Okrešelj. I recommend 3 days wandering... how are Veliki podi regarding markings... how from Grintavec direct to Dolska škrbina... or better back to Mlinarsko sedlo and then to Češka koča? Best regards and safe journey, safe step..

For today I choose Turska gora. Start was sunny, but at the top fog awaited me, coming from the west. To Okrešelj mostly dry, then immediately lots of snow. Turski žleb is nicely filled, but quite some falling rocks. From top of the gully to Turska gora the path is already three-quarters dry. Otherwise snow compact and not sinking. For the end of the tour also visit to Brložniški slap, which is really nice now.

Based on the picture or how the secured path runs we can't judge if the path is in snow. Definitely this mini "ferrata" is dry. Above it there are some traverses left to the top of the gully and that part isn't on the picture. I won't claim, but that part is a bit outside this couloir and could be completely dry. Still you can turn around and go back and bypass it towards Savinjsko sedlo, to Ledinski vrh. For fitness it'll be top-notch, and you'll know for next time. In this case you can go without winter gear, an ice axe is still good to have. This is about the gully, further towards the kotliči or Brana if you know the path, you can already see from Turska if snowfield awaits you down there. This path I'd say probably has another part in snow
