conditions were very good today, it looked like there would be some showers, but the clouds then dispersed quite quickly, from the top there is a beautiful view of the Šaleška and Savinjska valleys, and on Uršlja gora and Peč

Today I visited Paški Kozjak. With the car I drove to the hut at Paški Kozjak then hiked up to the church of Sveti Jošt, where signposts directed me to Špik 15 minutes. Then I returned to Jošt and continued up the ridge of Paški Kozjak to the highest peak of the range called Basališče 1272m. I descended towards the village Vitanje and then returned to the starting point by road. Since I had some time left I decided to visit also the highest peak of Pohorje (Črni vrh 1543m). There was quite a lot of snow in the upper part (10-30cm) but the path was trodden so there was no problem.

Today on Paški Kozjak it is nice, the path to Špik and further to Basališče is quite varied, however nature has ensured that the path offers only a few nice views.

Nice afternoon trip to Špik and towards Ostrica. The path is nicely varied, in shady parts it was a bit slippery on wet rocks, but autumn nature made up for all that, which we really enjoyed with the kids. LP Andrej

Like most Sundays, I was also today at Sv. Jošt on Paški Kozjak (1056 m), it was rainy in the morning, visibility was very poor due to very dense fog, temperature around ten in the morning was 4°C. Due to rain and extremely poor visibility I didn't go to Špik (1108 m) this time. Some photos from last, very windy Sunday:

Today I was at the highest peak of the western part of Paški Kozjak, precisely at Špik (1108 m), it was very windy and partly clear weather, temperature around 6-7°C. No snow except some patches Photographs:

No no, it holds, on the top at the logbook box it says PD Prevalje, height 1699 m, looks like you haven't been to the top yet...

I've been to the top already about 20 times just never paid attention to it... in all literature it says 1696.

Important is what it says on the top, forget literature

On Pohorje not much snow. Maybe up to 20 cm, in possible drifts a bit more. Regards.

NOTICE!! http://www.pdmislinja.si Trail change to Črni vrh Due to problems with the landowner through whose land the mountain trail to Črni vrh passes, we decided to relocate the trail. The old trail ran from Mislinja along the asphalt road to the forest where it turned right into the forest towards Kokol, across the road to Velika Mislinja, behind Piršev dom, past Smolar to Medved and further past Višner, Sedovnik... The new or changed trail runs from Mislinja along the asphalt road to the forest and we continue along the road to the intersection, here the trail turns left ahead along the asphalt road to the bridge. Here we leave the road and continue straight into the forest along the marked trail that takes us to Medved, from there we continue along the old trail. For easier orientation, see the attached map. The existing trail is marked black, the new path is marked red. We ask all hikers to walk the new trail. best hiking regards PD Mislinja

Hello hikers! Tomorrow I plan to conquer the summit of Paški Kozjak from Velenje. I would start from the settlement Gorica (Velenje), continue on foot across Bevče to the summit of Radojča to Ramšakov vrh and to the hunting hut, past Veliki vrh to Visoko (summit) to the hut on Paški Kozjak and then to the main summit Basališče and back the same way. I AM INTERESTED IF ANYONE HAS ALREADY HIKED THIS TRAIL? Would anyone go along, the trail is certainly all-day and long.

Today after Holy Mass at Sv. Jošt on Paški Kozjak I first climbed to Špik, then headed to Ostrica below Basališče, but didn't go up to Basališče this time. Weather was pure spring, real scorcher . Lots of snow, mostly blown into high drifts, in places I sank to my knees. Didn't meet a single hiker on the trail.

Yesterday, on the 1st Lenten Sunday it was more wintery on Paški Kozjak again, since 5-10 cm of new snow fell in the morning or forenoon. The road from the hut to Sv. Jošt is extremely hard to drive due to some fresh snow and ice, so I left the car at the hut and went on foot. Weather was pure April, when I drove off from home it was raining heavily, around 700-800 meters snow started to appear. When I reached Sv. Jošt the sun welcomed me, like in a fairy tale. After Holy Mass I climbed to Špik, from where there was a wonderful view of the sea of fog in the valley, Urška shyly peeked out from behind the fog or clouds every now and then Photographs: no photos
