It was in 1977. I'd outgrown my first pumparice, didn't have swishy tracksuit bottoms, first jeans were already there too... yeah, hard to imagine someone in jeans at the summit today.. still vividly remember the feelings at the top, nice to turn time back...

In '78 on Razor pasture. Ice axes still from the First World War. Snowshoes an improvisation. The snow started giving way during the day and we couldn't return to the valley. In the woodshed we found boards and nails. We nailed boards to crampons and eased the trudging.

On my pic the tower is when the star was still on it, just the star is cut off.
