If you're having trouble with the upload images button, you can also use the images button where it's possible to upload multiple images at once.

With the "Pictures" button it didn't work but with the "Upload pictures" button it did now

I still can't upload pictures in comments (current conditions) at all. It doesn't give me that option at all. I have hyperlink option but for pictures it doesn't give it. What am I doing wrong?

Pictures can be uploaded only in the forum section - conditions.

Does anyone know how to add a new picture of the mountain, hut, bivouac,... to the mountain description. Some pictures are already old and thus a bit misleading

Yes, in path descriptions and their associated photographs I also sometimes miss the info on the date they were taken.
In the long term it might be good to consider Gašper's suggestion too - maybe add links to relevant forums in the Conditions section to path descriptions.
