Yesterday I too was drawn into the mountains with beautiful weather. My intention was first to climb Škednjevec, but at the ramp I ran into a persistent customs officer, a local woman. She strung a rope across so that no one would drive past. I ask how long they'll be here, she replies for quite some time. Of course I turn around and instead of paying, I drive and enjoy the mountain road to Goreljek and to below the barrier before Konjščica. They have nicely arranged the biathlon center, asphalted even the tracks for roller skiers and planted grass - praiseworthy! Then I head to Kovce past Trstje and Čipr to Vodnikov dom, where some hikers are already sunning themselves. Instead of grassy Vernar, I extend the tour to the throne of the three-headed Triglav-Planika peak. The son of Janka Rekarja arrives from Kredarica, and some words are exchanged. I drink green tea and, at the request of the caretaker Marjana, we head down to the valley at 15:30. Due to her swollen legs, they fail her already at Vodnikov dom, where we unload the extra weight from her backpack in the winter room. We continue slowly, and darkness overtakes us at Čiprje. The gorge and steep sections, with my caution and help, were behind us; the headlamp, which I always carry with me, showed us the way. In the dense forest, I cover it briefly with my hand, and despite the full moon, it is total darkness! We wander a bit on the path, later lose it in the bushes (coniferous untrampled layer), and later find it again not far away. We do not part until the car - one battery. Later, due to the darkness, I don't find the path that branches right downward from the established Uskovnica-Konjščica to the nearby parking lots; below is a gorge and steep slope. I say to continue for safety, and we make a loop over Konjščica to the parking lot. Although late, at 11 p.m., we arrive safely at the goal without a helicopter. She also mentioned Igor-triglavski, who this year sacrificially, when others gave up, safely carried the injured German (ankle sprain, Superga) from Triglav. Hats off! It is also said that the Ljubljana PZS, due to competition, is hindering the start of construction of the new hut at Dolič, because with the newly chosen location, it would come under Bovec administration. The path over Čiprje is passable, secured on the more difficult sections; at the crossing of the Čipr stream, there is some stable soil slip, which is harder in the wet because the path there is sloped.
