Planina Ravne - Križevnik

Today 11.10.08 we visited Planina Ravne. The road is quite solid!
We were late (8:15) and there were already quite a few cars in the parking lot. The morning was beautifully sunny +5C larches are already nicely orange. We headed to Križevnik. For a while we followed the red markers for the path then turned right and directly towards the ridge. There was increasingly more scrub and the >path< was disappearing in it.
That was also interesting, as we pushed through the scrub steeply upwards searching for passages. Soon I had larch needles everywhere - but we won and broke through to the ridge.
Here some photos and by clumsiness I also smash the camera (hasn't fallen into Roban yet) so the card still remained. Somehow despite cracked screens and squeaking zoom I still manage some. They still photograph me crying with the camera in hand and on the way back to Planina Ravne (don't know why it says Planina Ravni on the sign?). Along the way I cool off with remains of new snow, because it's already quite hot.
Here I take from the trunk a warm (sun was already strong - 13:00) beer and the driver is already honking/let's go...
ps - no photos from the top/don't ask why..

From Lučki Dedec I was observing around the peaks, it was quite crowded, also quite a few on Zelenica, and I thought of your group. Really need to find less crowded paths, start from Za Loncem, to Vodotočnik, then Dedec and descent to Korošica, only 3 cars at that starting point, meaning no crowds, nice and interesting pics, especially the second one I like, since on our path there wasn't that much snow. Haven't managed to look at mine yet, maybe tomorrow.

Wonderful shots, I like the last shot the most. On the other side of Konj we two wandered, looking for marmots to pose but it seems the snow pushed them deep into the burrows, we photographed a pair called lesser crossbill, the female was just feeding.

Today on Križevnik. There's quite some snow, especially at the crossing to Veliki vrh. For the ascent to Veliki vrh great caution was needed today, because it was icy. On descent from the top and on the path around Dleskovec fog enveloped us and additionally spiced the tour.

A few km below planina Ravne we left the car. Then along the forest road to the planina and via Polšakova planina to Križevnik. Nice, warm day with south snow. In the hollows around Polšakova planina there was quite a lot to wade through.. On the top strong gusts of wind.

Branko, in your description you swapped left and right. At the mentioned path junction (photo no. 10) straight to Korošica, right to Planina Polšak, where you went too.

Thanks... from the junction (for Podvežak) drivable another half km ahead (at least on Sunday it was so)... but it's true that higher up, besides snow, there are also fallen trees over the road.
