You have to know how to search too, then you can really rummage through articles in the magazines cube, which otherwise would take a week of vacation. Suppose you're interested only in Jalovec and you put Jalovec in the search, but 300 hits come out. But maybe you're interested in what only Kugy wrote about Jalovec, or only pics from Jake Čop on Jalovec. For that you have the results filter up left too. There you enter Kugy or Čop and it filters only those. Really useful You can search also only certain contribution authors etc.

I am a subscriber to the Mountaineering Herald, but only for the last two years. Igor, because I read your contributions on Hribi.net with enthusiasm, I'm a bit sorry that you no longer publish in Pl. vestnik. Can I ask why it's like that, or is it perhaps too personal a question?

I was once subscribed to the Mountaineering Herald, but there are so many quality articles and other materials inside that I couldn't read it all through the whole month, so I unsubscribed or canceled the subscription. If anyone is interested in buying individual issues, they can contact me, I need to check exactly which issues I have stored, because throwing away such a quality magazine with really excellent photos would be a real mortal sin.

At home we are subscribers to the Mountaineering Herald for less than a year and we are all enthusiastic about the quality of the magazine. The appearance alone is exceptional, and the content anyway.

nanica no not at all, nothing too personal, what I want I say myself anyway, what not, then hidden friends publish. I got a bit lazy, that's it, otherwise I have one article written for a while and it's still ripening, as they say. Maybe it will see the light of day. regards

I am also a subscriber to PV and I admit that I don't read everything. But I think that with this I support the development of mountaineering also in written form. LP

This PV is interesting, especially now in bad weather. Not for long tours, but we can relive the beauty of these mountains with nice experiences in the mountains.

In the February issue there is an interesting survey on the topic of young families visiting the mountains. I recommend it to all those who have become parents in the past year. Here the survey results completely exceeded my expectations, and also debunked some taboos, in terms of at what ages to take children on mountain outings.

Mountaineering Bulletin, my good colleague has been recommending it to me for years when he reads it. I read it with enthusiasm for several days every month. I find the reports on conquering foreign mountains in South America, Asia, in short everywhere, where we ordinary hillwalkers won't get to go, extremely interesting. Occasional reports of hikes on pathless terrain and unmarked paths in our mountains are interesting. From the regular monthly route descriptions in mountains with all possible approaches and maps, I already have a whole handbook. I tackled Grintovec via the Long Walls in last year's dry season following this suggestion. Praise-worthy, highly recommend!

Any whining about the modernity of the language in PV, like the one we witnessed recently, is in my opinion really just whining and completely pointless. The language is perfectly understandable, up-to-date and I don't know where she got that from.

About Darko Venclj? I think every library has at least one copy of this oldest magazine on its shelves.

Miri, thanks for the tip. I dig it out from the shelf, you serve it internet-style. I completely forgot that all issues are available this way. While leafing through, I stopped at the first page where Dr. Tomaž Vrhovec describes movement in winter mountains and reread the article with pleasure. Sadly, ten years have passed since the end of December when the snow avalanche buried him on Vogel. He was an outstanding mountains expert and very popular person.
