Planjava via Srebrno sedlo

Yesterday, May 21st, my friend and I climbed Planjava via Srebrno sedlo. Started a bit before six, summit a bit before eleven. Conditions mixed, i.e. summer-winter, full winter gear needed. Not much snow, but larger snowfields in between and snow sometimes really tricky (more southern, slippery). First snowfield before that short climbing bit (higher up) then a bigger one towards Planjava (above Saddle). Tour was super enjoyable. Descent to Kamniško sedlo tempted us a bit, but since we didn't know what surprise might wait there, returned same way. In rain and hail  that caught us half hour before home in KB. Helmet handy again  Yeah, really varied.

Tomorrow plan to go up this path, return towards K. Saddle, wonder what's the condition on path from Planjava to saddle, if anyone passed it recently?

Today settled debt also with Zeleniške Špice. Up over Silver Saddle (need to cross one snowfield), back over Kamniško Saddle, where snowfields still quite a few. Snow nicely frozen, so just crossing snowfields no big issues. Matej and David enjoyed it for you  .

Yes, Knap, well I saw and heard you when you went over Z.Špice, I went over R.Kot, at S.Sedlo I waited a bit, then down to K.Sedlo.

Hi everyone, today I did the ascent to Planjava via Srebrno sedlo through Repov kot. The route is very nice but unmarked and in the upper part before Srebrno sedlo requires lots of concentration and orientation sense, otherwise accident is quick. Also this route not for beginners under any conditions. Rocks extremely loose, helmet essential!
Today's conditions:
Yesterday's snow no big change, but on snowfields where previous tracks were visible now only my prints. Who doesn't know route might have trouble, but careful look finds markers (cairns) or heaps from Srebrno sedlo even markings. Route to Planjava summit nicely passable, no winter gear needed. For descent mandatory, otherwise trouble quick. Biggest issues snowfields on descent to Kamniško sedlo - frozen and sometimes no choice but ice axe and crampons - I used two axes, personal choice suits me, maybe not others. Crampons in pack, helmet on head of course . From both approaches, Repov kot or Kamniško sedlo no one met nor tracks seen. Descent in last climbing part to Kamniško sedlo extra careful, snow mostly icy needs extra caution.
For most conditions not optimal yet, better wait week so snowfields consolidate to not dangerous crossing or disappear fully.

For example on nearby Zeleniške Špice?

Yes, you understood right. Zeleniške Špice are completely bare, snow starts only above Srebrno sedlo. Until now it's questionable if any is left. No changes regarding passability, the rest as described. Of course snow remains on snowfields for some time. The forecast for the end of the week is rainy again, maybe "up there" more white will fall.

Hey, is anyone else going on this route next week? Via Repov kot to Silver Saddle, to Planjava and down via Kamniško sedlo? I don't know the route, although I've been on it once, forgot... and wouldn't go alone now, because I always get lost. Well, let's see...
