Pregnant woman and husband to the mountains

Hello, I'm addressing you because I assume you have a real treasure trove of ideas in your heads. Which mountain would be suitable for such a trip: I'm in the 7th month of pregnancy and wouldn't want to hike up the mountain but only along the top, a little walk... I have a husband who would like (as we used to go together) to go on some 3-hour tour - one way.... which mountain would be suitable to carry out this joint trip? I'd for example go by car to the top and wait for him there.... I only thought of Velika/Mala Planina in the Kamnik Alps.... Thanks in advance for your ideas

Vogel (with cable car), Velika planina (car/cable car), Kanin (not sure if cable car is operating), Mangartsko sedlo, Čemšeniška planina, Kum.

Vršič, he goes on foot from Tamar, you by car. Then you meet there towards Slemen. In autumn it's one of the nicer tours. And good luck with your baby's arrival!

Žiga22 Vogel also seems a nice idea to me... to the top probably cable car and then chairlift? Or is there a hut right at the very top?

Jelenk and Sivka from Sp. Idrija, Vrhovec (Lokvarski vrh) from Šebrelje (they have good food there), Hleviše from Idrija, Črvov vrh from Idrijca valley...etc. Summits also for second pregnancy.

In the Search for hikes, enter Slemenova špica. Look at the route descriptions from Tamar (there are two) and from Vršič. There you'll see where you'll meet. Your path from Vršič won't be too strenuous. Park at Vršič in the parking lot, see your description. Best regards,

Menina planina, on Golte also by gondola and car, From the hut on Slemen to Smrekovec, You wait at the hut, on Peca, over Knipsovo sedlo, wait for him at the top at the gondola (A), Resevna, Mirna gora, Kope-Ribniška hut - Rogla, Mariborsko Pohorje also offers more variants, Slivnica, Dom na Gospodični, Krim, around Celje hut, ... If I understand correctly, you drive to some point (hut), husband does the tour meanwhile and you meet at the hut. Sometimes you could go from hut to summit together, e.g. Smrekovec about 20 min. Really, ideas for 2 pregnancies. But you didn't tell us where you're from approximately, since you probably don't want 2 hours drive each way. I poured you suggestions from Carinthia to Dolenjska All the best to the future hiker!

So many variants, I was right thinking you're a treasure trove of ideas. THANKS everyone, I'll carefully review all, obviously nice joint weekends await us.... also in second pregnancy, yes, as you say marinka67 yes driving causes me some trouble but I stop in between, stretch and go on so even two hours drive won't be too big problem... thanks also for nice wishes

Of course the ideas remain feasible later too, with stroller, and a bit later with backpack. But of course I agree with primož, easier, shorter ascents shouldn't be a problem, from hut to summit, say (that's the case at many locations). LP

Aha, and if husband doesn't hike 3 hours but only 2, probably won't complicate either

I don't know why with a stroller, Marinka. There's nothing better than carrying the baby in a carrier, close to the body. The stroller artificially keeps the child away from the parents.

primoza, I agree, but I had to rest more or less completely the first four months and all my fitness went to nothing... unfortunately. It was my plan to go hiking, but simply it wasn't meant to be. Now I don't plan to build fitness either I'll do it after birth, when I'm strong enough... but I miss the views from the top.. so thanks for all the ideas to satisfy that wish! marinka67, that's it, two or three hours, doesn't matter, the main thing is that we walk a bit, each according to their own strength

primoza, the carrier can be worn front and back and it's definitely safer and more comfortable than anything else - both for the child and the adult.

primoza, even in the carrier the child shakes enough for digestion, don't worry ) Stroller is modern nonsense, something like bottle feeding. In my humble opinion very very harmful for the child in the most sensitive period of life.

Carriers haven't advanced at all. The problem is that it's not so easy to figure out how to wear it best and how to place the child. Once you figure it out (since so few people use them, you usually have to puzzle it out yourself), it's trivial and super. Maybe you'll have some other opportunity ...

valerija112, or anyone who knows, is there any hut on the vršič-slemenova špica route?

Ursa, based on what you wrote, I wouldn't recommend Slemenove špice.

I'll add something more... last time I saw on Slemenova špica one future mom already in quite an advanced month of pregnancy. No, from Vršič to Slemenove špice there is no hut in between, it's about an hour's walk (in pregnancy probably more).
