This morning I was in Celje - I checked out the Auto and Maintenance fair
While looking around I got an idea. My proposal is to open a "RIDES" thread (name borrowed from an existing website). This means someone heading to the mountains with space in personal/combi vehicle posts offer: where, departure time and price.
The rest is arranged internally by the participants and realized. This is just a proposal, give your thoughts on it. Then it's up to Tadej to implement or reject it if it's interesting or interests a wider circle of users.

Everything necessary already exists, people just need to sign up in the "Together to the mountains" section. Of course I support the idea!

So, I meant only transport. My two children used this transport method ( TRANSPORTS ) to Lj. all the time and never complained that anything was wrong.
If I take the example of the nearest Logarska for me, no public transport on weekends. Probably the situation is the same elsewhere..?

Public transport to mountain starting points is okay for Ljubljaners only to Bohinj and Kamniška Bistrica, everything else is too late or too infrequent.
To Logarska Dolina, perhaps now also the Celje bus will run. There's even a wish to connect Kamniška Bistrica with that valley, so people could cross peacefully to/from Okrešelj.

Theoretically OK. Practically more questionable how about the return home?
Someone finishes tour with few hours difference how do you get back.
Otherwise not bad idea, I support it.

The thing is interesting, how it will work in practice is harder to predict. So I suggest using this thread for now, if it takes off we can add a new section.

Tadej, I agree with you. Maybe it will take off or nothing comes of it. Just a proposal...
If you open PREVOZI page today almost no place in Slovenia (and lots abroad) you can't get to or back from.
The problem is not that now you have to take someone on your tour or even if interested. I myself often drove towards Logarska without specific goal. On the way I got an idea and realized it. Also gladly take someone if a "route" interests them or going solo somewhere they thought of.

departure time from place - A
where intends to go (Vrata, Logarska...etc)
transport price
mobile number for agreement
rest is mutual agreement on possible joint return or not...

To me personally it seems also a very good idea and I support it if only real hikers... but today everything strange on internet.

Very good move. Now that fuels are and will be more expensive it would be very rational to fill the car if going somewhere, not empty car, and everyone benefits and saves. This way we can go to mountains more often, otherwise less and less. To me personally very good move.

On Tuesday I was at Kranjska hut on Ledine. They already have organized rides there. There is a sign at the entrance to the hut with phone numbers of four drivers. They drive from Jezersko over Pavličevo sedlo to Logarska dolina or vice versa. I used the option and went to the Austrian side to Belsko Kočno. I called the driver 3 hours before. For 15 eur he took me from Belska Kočna to the parking lot in Ravenska Kočna at Jezersko (that's the price for the whole car, cheaper if more hikers).

Portal prevoz.org enables ridesharing or shared rides for all popular hiking locations (taken from hribi.net).
On the subpage Mountains and hills you can now see all offered rides for the next 30 days. If you want to offer a ride, note that the destination must have altitude because only then will your ride show on the Mountains and hills subpage, which is key to finding a companion.
Using the prevoz.org portal and all functions for posting and finding rides is free. Via the website Mountains and hills you can now also find company for the mountains.

One question, does anyone know if there's a bus to Kamniška Bistrica on weekdays? I'm not in Ljubljana before 6.45. I'm asking because I can't find anything. But I know it used to run.
The forecast in the Kamniks is nicer, otherwise I'd go to the Julijce...
