Rogla - Ribniška koča

When you cross-country skiers are forced to buy a ticket like downhill skiers, then you can boast that the track is only for skiing. But I know cultured hikers always walk on the edge of the ski track.

Just like for hot topics we've already discussed on this portal (order in huts, unequipped mountaineers and excluding them from paths, leashing dogs, mountaineering insurance,...), it would be interesting here too to learn how they handle this in other countries.

I'm especially interested in the more cultured and developed ones.

In other countries (and also in Slovenia) walking on groomed cross-country tracks is prohibited. Even if walking nicely on the edge. If walking itself isn't such a big problem, the problem is that some drag kids on sleds behind them. Even bigger problems are dog walkers who don't clean up after them.

Who should chase whom in the case mukica mentioned - groomed ski track on marked path, we also encounter that on Pohorje.

On Pohorje both cross-country tracks and ski slopes are usually part of ski areas.
And as far as I checked myself, you mustn't walk on these tracks.
It is true that it must be marked eek and a general warning sign (usually near the cash desk) is not enough.
Last year some track inspector or whatever he was rudely insulted me on one such track at Areh, though I walked completely aside, and also on the part where there is also the usual marked mountain path. I don't know who I was endangering there. The biggest sadness was that two hours earlier the Stolp chairlift collapsed with gross and direct endangerment of lives. (Sadly I didn't know that when the guy attacked me.)

But on Maribor Pohorje you can ride sleds, snow bobs (pležuh) on the ski slope if you pay for the ticketzmeden. I wouldn't know if I hadn't seen it very well with my own eyes on night skiing. If I had paid for the ticket I could surely walk on foot toozmeden.
I mostly ski in Austria and haven't seen anyone chasing anyone off the slope if they know how to walk on the edge and not obstruct others.
But anyway, if there is a warning sign that walking is prohibited, so it is.

I'm also interested, as VanSims mentioned, but not how it is regulated abroad, but how it is here in the case where the ski cross-country track is on the route where the marked Pohorje transverse runs (specifically Kope-Ribniška hut), and who is the "intruder" here now, since the track is available only poor 3 months.

The planned trip succeeded, which we had planned for some time.
Start at Koča na Pesku, Lovrenška lakes, Ribniška hut, a lot is happening in the hut as they are renovating it.
Path strenuous due to snow and water on the path, which probably flows from higher-lying lakes, snow was already thawing on the return, in places it had already melted.
We got to know another little piece of our beautiful Slovenia.

In the tower caution is needed, we found out that a little brun will be needed - the floorboards need replacing.

We two wanted to do this trip on 31.10., we drove up and it was all in fog. It was blowing so strongly that it wasn't suitable anywhere. Then we rather decided for Boč. But I hope that we will soon sail back to those areas.

I was on Wednesday, 27.10. on Ribniško Pohorje, it was like in a fairy tale, that day was in my opinion the nicest in the whole week; fresh snow, sun, in short like mid-Januaryvelik nasmehnasmehmežikanje

In the topic title, regarding my trip, I would add: to Grmovšek's hut; today I wandered for a full 12 hours on the Slovenian Mountain Trail from Rogla to Grmovšek's hut below Velika Kopa and almost back the same way to Rogla. Weather a bit sunny, a bit cloudy, there was a not too strong wind blowing all the time, so it was nice to walk. Path mostly dry, just a bit muddy in some places. Also some fallen trees across the path, but not too bothersome; there were quite a few hikers, and I chatted nicely with somenasmeh.
A bit off the regular path I checked out Lovrenška jezera and on the way back also Ribniško Lake. These little lakes are real gems of Pohorje nasmeh! From the path I turned to the highest peak of Pohorje – Črni vrh.
– in short: a very nice trip trip, which I'll surely repeat sometimenasmehnasmeh I recommend!

Ran from Vitanje to Rogla. From here to Jezerski vrh, visited Lovrenška lakes and looped back to Planja and down to the valley. Initial bad weather soon turned into beautiful blue skies.

Winter is back!
On a holiday, I went from Sv. Vid past Rogla to Jezerski vrh. It was snowing nicely and heavily. We returned past Koča na Pesku and the viewpoint tower back to the valley. The tour with fast walking approx 7.5h-36km.
