This has been planned for a while, but quarantine got in the way. Saturday weather was perfect for the trail, just right temperatures and some views too.
I started the trail at Trojane counter-clockwise. So I could restock drinks in the store in Lukovica.

Total 48km and 1600m elevation gain. Except around Gradiško Lake and Limbarska Mountain, I hardly met hikers. The whole trail is excellently marked. Near the end I met the trail author and chatted a bit.

Documentary on 'Vranov let' trail was on TV SLO a few days ago. Interesting show.

On Saturday four Rokovnjačke ladies walked part of the Rokovnjaška trail clockwise. From Blagovica to Špilk, 957 m highest peak of our section, arrived after an hour and a half of walking. At the top a mini but nicely arranged bivouac. Toasted the birthday girl and descended the unmarked section. In good hands of our mountain rose and by feel quickly back to marked trail. In between signs for Motnik, Lipovc, bike paths and Vranov let. It's a project and documentary about liberating allied soldiers, as Ninđa and Matej posted above. Then boldly on foot to Trojane for donuts and coffee, it hit the spot. A bit along the main road towards Lj. to the turnoff for Doline. Past a lonely farm where they have Aljažev stolp at home. A little more ascent and the trail's gem arrives. Beautiful, cleared up even more, views towards Kum, Zasavska holy mountain. Totally different world, pines, rocky, wild. Descent to village Borje with St. Jacob church, which has a very interesting bell tower and entrance. Continued to Golčaj with 15th century St. Neža church. Super view of green forests and snowy KSA. Just descent to Blagovica and 22 km and 1000 m elevation behind us. New trail and great tour successful.

Those trail sections are the best for me too. So, lily thanks for pics 20 to 30. Because of such sections I'd choose this trailnasmeh.

Greetings to both great lady hikers.
Mukica, you two, my son and I hiked the last part of the path to Triglav together years ago... it went great.

Ločanka, we enjoyed Kornati together, with Stanko Klinar, when I still didn't know his many alpinistic feats...

Here, quartet Bojan, Živa, Peter and Miha today boldly stepped from foggy Blagovica to sunny Špilk, continued to Trojane (no donuts, so vamps don't get too heavy by chance), up to Rebro and via Golčaj after 7 hours and 23 km back to where they started. Wonderful areas that again prove beautiful Slovenia has no equal around. Obviously many know that, whom we met on the trail.

What about donuts? After the tour of course time for them too, since Blagovica to Trojane by car is not far. Enjoy!nasmeh

The aim was to do all of Rokovnjaška, but due to circumstances it became Rokovnjaška*Furmanska velik nasmeh. Furmanska because we returned on the old road to Trojane. It's long been asphalted, luckily without much traffic.

Started in Trojane right to the northern part of Rokovnjaška. Typical are roads, some gravel, much more asphalt. No specials or difficulties there, just need to be used to such paths. In between Špilk, highest peak of Rokovnjaška.

Return from Lukovica to Trojane on old road was something else. New adventure for us, probably won't repeat. Can hitchhike, but we didn't want. In last part caught by lots of snow showers and wind. White as snowmen we panted to top of hill, just before start got clearing. All together... unforgettable nasmeh.
Parking at Trojane, where as usual it strongly smells of donuts1
One of the rare signs for the Rokovnjaška path. There are enough usual markings2
The frost presses so hard that we can hardly keep up with shivering :)3
Another of the purpose-made signs, this time intended for the bear :)4
The macadam road slowly climbs, and with it the snow depth too5
Here we turn left to Špilk, at 957 m the highest peak of the Rokovnjaška6
Špilk with an equipped bivouac7
Approach to it and descent are rough from left and right, but not slippery8
A little further on it's already proper winter9

The path carries us further along the road …12
This merry musician bids us welcome13
The sun has mighty power, not even snow can resist it any longer14
Little farms line up one after another …15
There is a lot of asphalt, but it doesn't bother us. We take it as training for other goals.16
Castle Brdo above Lukovica, or rather what remains of the mighty building.17
We are already in Lukovica, where the decision about continuing is made.18
Choosing the fastest path to Trojan … along the former wagon track :)19
The weather is already diligently raining, some sun breaks through the clouds.20
Lukovica, a little past halfway on the return.21
Ominous, but on the other hand wonderful :)22
The first snow shower catches us, followed by more.23
We are already at the starting point, where it has just cleared up.24
GPS track of the walked path. It recorded 44 km and 1200 elevation gain.25
