Rokovnjaška planinska pot ...another look at Reber...55
Rokovnjaška planinska pot ...a little more and I'll be in Blagovica...56

Rokovnjaška planinska pot 61
Rokovnjaška planinska pot ...in front of the fire station the start and also the end of today's trail...Over 22 kilometers and 1300 elevation meters above the valley through which we most often rush on the motorway but it also hides its beauties...LP Bruno - bruny62

Bruno, too bad you didn't finish the trail in Lukovica, at Furman with local Rokovnjač beer (unfortunately they are closed on Sundays, which is really weird to me)! zavijanje z očmi

Hribovc88, these are two different things. You probably mean the night Rokovnjaški hike, which is in May. Start is always in Trojanah, the path is about 40 km long, the finish is always different, this year it was in Terme Snovik, last year e.g. in Kamnik, the year before at the Črnivec Pass. The Rokovnjaška mountain trail runs along the borders of Lukovica municipality. Best regards, Sonja

Thanks CarpeDiem247 for the info about Rokovnjač beer in Lukovica. The western part of the Rokovnjaška trail goes through Lukovica and there will be opportunity for tasting... Time, distance, elevation,... and more data directly from Garmin...

nasmeh After a week return to the western - longer half of the Rokovnjaška mountain trail at hiking pace from starting point Blagovica and ascent towards Špilk to the settlement Gabrje pod Špilkom from where I descended to Blagovica last week. Then towards Selce, Češnjice, Pšajnovica, Zlato polje, Obrše, Dupeljna, Brdo, Lukovica. This part is quite monotonous due to mostly asphalt base. The part from Lukovica to Golčaj from where I descended back to Blagovica and finished today's loop is much more varied as it mostly runs on forest - meadow paths. A few hours accumulated at hiking pace and of course quite a few new insights into the part of Slovenia where I walked for the first time... mežikanje In terms of distance and elevation very similar to Šentilj trail, only the step is a bit more demanding due to more varied base (rocks and more roots).

We also headed out on a section of the Rokovnjaška trail. We started in Blagovica, climbed Golčaj and Reber on one side of the highway, crossed to the opposite bank at Trojane, and finished conquering the local hills with the ascent to Špilk. We returned to the start via Gabrje.

The first part of the trail is mostly pleasant paths, the second part from Trojane is almost entirely on gravel roads. Everything is well marked, the donuts at Trojane are still too big nasmeh

In Blagovica we parked in front of the church, the first markers under the motorway1

I also hiked it completely this year, but in two parts. I divided it into the southern part starting in Lukovica (I started about 1.5 km further from Šentvid, from home to Trojane http://www.hribi.net/gps.asp?sledid=684

and the second part, northern Rokovnjaška trail from Trojane to Lukovica and home http://www.hribi.net/gps.asp?sledid=685.

Unsettled weather directed us to the left part of the Rokovnjaška trail from Blagovica towards Lukovica, which remained for us from last November. We knew there would be quite a bit of asphalt, but it wasn't that bad nasmeh. The sun and pleasantly cool air deserve most credit.

The trail is well marked throughout, our circular variant was 36 km long with 1500 m elevation gain. GPS track available from me.

Start in Blagovica, this time left variant of Rokovnjaška path to Lukovica1
In the morning with a brisk step :)2
At the beginning of the path some gravel, then asphalt3
Continuation towards Špilk to Gabrje, then left4
Direction Poljane, Selce, Češnjice ...5
Gorenjska variant ... clock hands are drawn :)6
Mainly farms are here7
There are many old homesteads, some are renovated, others not8
Here we go left. Everything is nicely marked9
On the path ....10
Another village, there will be quite some asphalt ahead11
Working decoration at one of the houses12
Mighty Brdo castle, or rather its still mighty remains13
We crossed the motorway near Lukovica14
In the continuation, two members of the Gradišče tourist society greeted us :)15
Most of the time we had sun, despite the worse forecast16
Here Gradiško Lake sinks17
Soon the first signposts for Limbarska gora appear18
The second part of the path has much less asphalt than the first19
One of the villages through which the Rokovnjaška trail passes20
We also tackled Palčkov klanec21
This time the dwarves were in good spirits :)22
Limbarska gora23
The descent to Blagovica looks short but is unexpectedly long24
In the land of eagles :)25
After about an hour the sign for the final descent finally appeared26
Closing part ...27
After eight and a half hours we grilled the sausage28

Rokovnjaška trail (29.02.20)

Still midweek the plan was something over 2000m, but this wind doesn't appeal to us, especially if there aren't any good, I won't say ideal conditions then we stick to lower areas. Initial ascent to Limbarska gora, via Golčaj down to Trojane. Didn't need donuts, I'll take them later for home. To say it was some sprint I'd be lying a bit. On the other side of the road followed gravel ascent and later on a nice snowy path to the top of Špilka. Nice run on the snowy meadow, where we descended for a while and since crocus is my favorite flower I could admire it here too. Along the trail/road there are nice churches and plenty of chapels. Interesting was Janko Kersnik's homestead, which you can't miss. Past Tuš across the highway and the trail leads to Gradiško lake. The trail takes us left, where under Limbarska gora we join the morning start.
It added up to nice 50 km, 2000m ascent.
