My brother didn't undertake this at all out of competitiveness. After all, his colleague Anže also "collected" two-thousanders (http://www.gore-ljudje.net/novosti/120561/), knew his achievements, but never even considered trying to overtake him. They visited some peaks together. I was there on the NE ridge of B. Grintavca. If anyone deserves primacy here, it is surely http://www2.arnes.si/~mcuder/, who detailed all their hikes. Their descriptions are the most useful of all those available anywhere. If they perhaps were not on some peak (Turn pod Razorjem,...), that still doesn't mean they couldn't have managed it if that ascent had mattered to them. Where the old alpinist cats roamed in the past, we don't even dream! And with equipment incomparable to ours. His goal, as far as I know, was mainly to get to know the Slovenian mountains in detail. How often he mentioned: that hill looks completely different from the other side. I hadn't imagined it like that. I want to say that every mountain has several "faces", which we don't see from marked paths, and thus miss out on a lot. ]]>

The description of my today's approach to Turn pod Črnim Voglom is evident from the attached photos. By the shown variant from the col, the climbing does not exceed II.

Since I'm not in proper shape, I take the cable car to the top in a ladylike manner. From there, past the Peter Skalar hut, I descend to the marked path on the Kanin plateaus, which I follow for a while towards Kanin. At the appropriate spot by the big cairn, I turn left where, by finding the easiest passages through the scree rubble, I push through to the notch. From there, first one small chimney and then another smaller one to climb. Predecessors spoke of II difficulty grade, but you need to watch out as stones can stay loose in your hand. Back I dashed the same path, only I bypassed the upper chimney through a narrow gully. If I'd snacked at the top, probably it wouldn't fit. No other peculiarities on the path.
