I'm interested where the SPP stamp for Škocjan Caves is located and where for Artviže.

For Artviže in the village on the box near the NOB monument, for Škocjan Caves at reception and outside on the box.

I'm wondering if it's necessary to have hut keepers' signatures in the SPP booklet too? I already have some stamps, but only recently learned I might need signatures too...? Thanks.

I'd connect to the last question and ask something myself... somewhere I read that you need a special stamp in huts with PD membership proof. Is that true?

Kaja2737 Hut keepers' signatures are no longer mandatory, but desirable. Some gladly sign under the stamp, some don't. Becar Huts have stamps where besides hut name, elevation, managing PD it says Slovenian mountain transversal. No PD membership proof needed. In short, you or keeper stamps, keeper signs or not, done. Wish you both many nice moments on the path. Don't forget the booklet at home when leaving home.

Thanks, Julius. This puzzled me, what is written on Wikipedia: ................Hiker must keep a log of the trail, stamp special seal only for this path, obtainable in huts on request with mountaineering card, keeper must sign. Ordinary hut stamp invalid. Peaks: peak stamp ok. Note date too. Enter visit in book....................... I hope this no longer holds, as it discourages with overcomplication

Just let me additionally remind you: make sure the stamp is really the right one... on it says, as already mentioned, Slovenian mountain transversal or Slovenian mountain path.. the shape of the print is an elongated ellipse. For summits, of course, regular triangular stamps apply.. As for entries in the logbook, I still recommend you sign them regardless of whether mandatory or not. You never know where misfortune awaits you..

I myself finished Slo.pl.trail 2 years ago and didn't have all "real" stamps or caretakers' signatures, even less, but P.Z.S. awarded me both badges. In some huts or summits indeed you won't find "real" stamps. There are also K.t. where the stamp is so worn out that you can't do anything with it.

2 badges? Which 2? I can't find this anywhere. Is there some regulation on awarding these badges? Do you have to be PD member for the badge?

For completing the Slovenian Mountain Trail and collecting all stamps listed in the Slovenian Mountain Trail Logbook, you get a large badge, which is also depicted on the first page of that logbook. There is also an extended Slovenian mountain trail with mandatory and optional stamps. This trail has a list and space for stamps in the second part of the Slovenian Mountain Trail Logbook. For completing the extended mountain trail, proven by stamps in the logbook, you receive a special badge depicted in the second part of the same logbook. There is a special regulation on the Slovenian Mountain Trail held by PZS - KZP; there is also a specific person for checking the logbook's correctness and a record of hikers who completed the trail and got a memorial badge (one or the other or both). Happy hiking on SPP and many nice moments in the mountains!

And one more thing. The Slovenian Mountain Trail is not time-limited; the hiker does not have to be a member of any PD and it can be anyone - not only a Slovene... All data that interest someone are written in shortened form in the Logbook of the Slovenian Mountain Trail - last edition from 2011 on the penultimate page (p. 37), under the title RULES FOR AWARDING THE HONORARY BADGE. Best regards!

Yes, that's it and not all are the same; those from 10 or 20 years ago don't have exactly the same K.T. as this last issued one.

Yes, that's the Logbook of the Slovenian Mountain Trail. For this trail, which will among other things celebrate its 60th anniversary this fall, only this logbook is valid. In Slovenia, there is also a multitude of circular trails (transversals, paths), each with its own logbook and of course its own prescribed checkpoints, and its own memorial badge... These trails are serviced by individual PDs, which also issue logbooks and keep records of hikers who have walked the trail and obtained the memorial badge. The record of the SPP walked and badges awarded is kept exclusively by the Commission for Mountain Trails at PZS... The list of other trails (circulars) in Slovenia is published on the PZS website under circulars.

Yes, joža x, you overtook me. Logbooks were different years ago too. With every edition something changes. Certain checkpoints can be added or deleted... Logbooks from many years ago were also without boxes for stamps, had only blank pages and a checkpoint list, printed on brownish paper (such was probably available then), and had cloth-bound hard covers... The essence has remained the same for 60 years...

I think it would be good if "real" SPP stamps were scanned somewhere on the Planinska zveza link. So there would be no unpleasant incidents, as joža x wrote: "I myself finished Slo.pl.pot 2 years ago and didn't have all "real stamps and caretakers' signatures"

I'm interested which SPP huts have stamps outside in the box during winter time or when they're not operating. I know that a photo in front of the hut also counts, but I'm still interested in the stamp.

Although not all are SPP stamps it's still nice to see what they look like and imprint them for memory when you reach the top... for memory if nothing else in the film there are 63 altogether 152... VIDEO Regards! Tone
