The most demanding mountain in Slovenia...?

Print

Maybe someone knows which paths in Slovenia are among the hardest, very demanding marked paths? lp

There's no doubt which "path", if you can even call it a path, is Gožnarjeva peč: http://www.hribi.net/izlet/vinska_gora_gonzarjeva_pec_plezalna_pot/4/1745/3176

Yeah, but that one is short.... I would decide that the most difficult one is on Prisojnik via the Hanzova path.

I would say it's the ferrata on Mangart from the Belopeška lakes or from the Nogaro shelter.

All paths mentioned here except Gožnarjeva peč I have climbed and personally for me the most difficult path is to Cjajnik...

The question was: The most difficult mountain in Slovenia...? The question is quite open, but quite clearly defines that it asks about the difficulty of the path to a MOUNTAIN (i.e. summit of some elevation) and that this MOUNTAIN stands on SLOVENIAN (not ethnic, although precisely the Selani are ethnically the most homogeneous and I won't say conscious, among all Slovenian population living north of Karavanke) TERRITORY! In short, then Cjajnik is out right away because it lies on the territory of northern neighbors... since Miksmajster has already quite defined the question in the next question, Gožnarjeva peč will probably hold (I haven't climbed it and don't intend to in the future either), but if I refer also to the question posed in the topic title (broader), my answer would be: Visoki rokav and Široka peč.mežikanje

How would you rank Silva Korena's path on Krn?

in Mašerjev's guidebook of 55 equipped climbing paths it is appropriately marked as PP3 from PP6.

Juš, Rušica and Rigljica aren't for us ordinary šodrovci who climb at most to Kurji vrh. nasmeh

OP is actually asking for the most demanding mountain with marked paths (those that are demanding are also secured with pegs and cables there). Summits above PP therefore don't belong in this category.

Everyone has their own taste. For some it's harder with "lack" of protections, for others if terrain is secured but very steep, maybe even overhanging, third is fear of ridges, so uniform answer not possible.
Mrzla gora is certainly among the hardest.

Some fear precisely the protections: oooh cables will be there, I'm not going! Doesn't bother if hears need to grab some rock a bit.

Instead of satisfied as long as protections exist... mežikanje
