As I already wrote the path from Trojane to Špilk is solitary and shady and suitable for hot summer days. Let me add that the path to the top of Špilk is very steep for a while, but flattens towards the top. No views in summer either as dense trees block it.

From Trojane easier start (parking) at the fire station or a bit further at the junction of gravel roads. Then across the stream on the first left forest path to a varied and wide ridge (never encountered such density/labyrinth of forest paths). Along the marked path past the nice meadow Lipovec back. Three-hour loop passes quickly.
Personal opinion - relatively uninteresting summit and paths from this side. Suitable for easy walks in central Slovenia (especially in heat).

Northwest from Trojane was the basic trail guide. Pašnik Lipovec pasture right along the path, which looks already "active"... Next and main point 956m high Špilk with bivouac right on the top. Path was important but today the  peak interested me too. Trail easy and quite soggy soon after holiday noon. Entry in mountain log in bivouac and return. Clear with some cloudy blue...

I'm probably here for the same reason as all you others. To debate a bit like we've been doing for a month. I could post, but no point. Who would it benefit? Except good pics from nature, first sprouts etc.

The beautiful former country already took everything from us once, which was created literally with bare hands, we really don't need that much. Leveling and supporting the idle doesn't interest me. 956 meters high Špilk goal of the path today. Trojane again perfect starting point. Along torrent Bolska, pasture Lipovec/Lipovc and forests of Špilk rich with beech/also conifers. Well reinforced forest road and in the end few hundred meters of typical mountain path with rocks, scree and roots. Rich with water this world is. On Lipovc and on final ascent to summit cattle on pasture. In bivouac entry in book and return back. For lovers of forest roads, shaded paths and some water action quite ideal choice especially in hot humid summer days.

From Trojane along "marked path" - forest road, to pasture Lipovc. At edge of pasture to Lipovc and back to forest road. Right after pasture continue on left fork of forest road and along trace of old, abandoned marked path to top. On descent some scrambling through network of forest tracks and reach Reznarce area. Here turn left (now I know it wasn't right) and reach forest road again, which brings us back to Trojane. Shame that this former marked path no longer maintained! Forest road no hiking pleasure either, left of it such nice forested ridge.

On Friday I walked the path in reverse - Blagovica - Špilk - Trojane. I told myself I'd try to get from Špilk to Trojane through the forest and I succeeded. With a bit of orientation sense you can follow countless forest tracks and overgrown paths. Mostly I stuck to the ridge or walked a bit below it on the Črni graben side. I reached the road exactly at the top of the hill (Učak) at the mountain signs. Then the other half of the path awaited - over Reber to Golčaj and back to Blagovica.

To Špilk world today from Trojane and back to Trojane. By pasture Lipovec to final branch to summit. Summit skipped today. Hot day but in Špilk forests still some freshness. Distinct water world with brooks and streamlets also with source of torrent Skralsa...Drought noticeable here too...meager with water. What to add...it was pleasant!
