Velika Bavha (Monte Robon)

After yesterday's Krn - today 5.7.2020 we chose an exploratory tour (the tour is actually tailored for history lovers and happenings between the two wars). We chose Velika Bavha - the summit stands in the background of Rombon - Great and Little Črnelska Špica and Hudi Vršič, here war left an indelible mark and a big stain on the whole area. The summit itself is a dream vantage point to which two paths lead, the best is that the tour can be done as a loop which is a special charm. For the ascent we chose a mountain road approx 500m, before Sella Nevea path 637. The path first follows the road then soon we leave the road and ascend on a forest path under the foot of Lopiča. When we cross the natural gate we enter a wonderful cirque under Črnelska Špica, soon we reach Sella Robon - Vrh Laških Brežičev, then just the ascent to the summit along military fortifications. We descended on an incredibly beautiful mule track towards Prevala and Gilbertija hut, but we leave the mentioned mule track at Monte Poviz/Pobič and descend to Sella Nevea, 300 meters from the start, since on the road we just walk to the car full of enthusiasm.

15.8. 2020. When there was no weather for high mountains all week, at least without afternoon rain, Saturday was finally suitable at least for Bavha. Morning humid. In the afternoon on descent we had a small shower, which quickly stopped. Kanin range later dressed in gray and probably rained there. Very few hikers for such a nice and not difficult peak. Everything marked. Maybe too much. And towards the summit in that scree part cairns, at least it seemed to me much more than last year. Otherwise it's good they are there, as there are many natural sinkholes there. We went from Sella Nevea on path 636. And on descent took path 637 where you reach the road and then a little walk to the start. On top warm. No wind and views. Viševa group once in clouds then without. Strma peč all day in sun.
A hiker also on the path, but he was heading to Prevala.1
when the views open up.2
both are on this path for the first time.3
hoping that we will at least have the morning without rain.4
muggy in the forest.5
a nice day is ahead.6
What could this be?7
the path is quite wide, and later it is not even steep.8
some peaks without clouds.9
easy walking in this part.10
Then you are in a rocky world.11
The cable car was running continuously yesterday.12
Also for less experienced hikers.13
The path is interestingly routed.14
Nicely visible peaks.15
Here you need to go down a bit, then up the hill again.16
Junction.17
It is long from here to Jerebica.18
Strma peč without a cloud all day.19
Easy is a harsh word.20
Nice to sit down.21
Little path past the ruins.22
Only the walls remain.23
Then the last part to the summit.24
Where the world is different.25
Quite a few birches along the path.26
And interesting rocks.27
On the summit, but without a cross.28
It was warm.29
Planike.30
Marjan up there for the first time.31
Slowly we start descending.32
View of the Viševo group.33
past the bivouac, which is closed for some reason-34
where transport to the valley awaits you.35
A work of art of nature.36
The path 367 was slippery in places.37
and on the descent to Sela Neveji, dark clouds already threaten in places.38
