Yesterday from Možnica valley to Mondonuti - Savoia bivouac. In the first part the path is nicely traceable and cleared, continuing under Prodi you have to search for the little path a bit. The passage towards Korit is ragged but passable, continuation mostly on snow. In the upper part the path joins the marked one under 645, which comes from Jezerska valley. Return via ascent path.

Slightly surreal Bavha never disappoints nasmeh

. This weekend it was almost snow-free, even after the forecasted precipitation it probably won't be different.

Velika Bavha... Rugged rocky world is wonderful, always captivates me again. Comfortable mulatiera is nicely maintained, grass mowed, bushes trimmed. Path to bivouac is suitable for big and small. Also those on four paws, further on rocks carefully. nasmeh

Majda, I can't help but be charmed again by your story. You brought closer to me this world unknown to me until today. It all shows that this sky blue isn't from today, maybe from Sunday when there was generally a very nice day in the mountains. Am I wrong? Anyway, excellent photos and journey. velik nasmeh

... Zlatica yes, the ramble was from Sunday when fogs were frightening there too, but luckily they changed their minds. When you're a bit higher it's nice to watch sea of mists and peaks.. nasmeh

I admired the path to Velika Bavha already 15 years ago when colleague showed pictures from this trip. But only yesterday the exact day planned long ago came so I could walk this wonderful path full of beautiful views to its summit.
We marveled at all this nature's masterpiece we passed by, gazed into distant past as we stepped over slabs full of imprinted sea shells, pondered abysses opening along the path.
And weather was gifted to us so nothing stayed hidden nasmeh

Down at Nevejske pass we hurried for beer, had to toast the good tour nasmeh

The shutters have been nicely renovated, Gilberti hut.

Fossil admirers, Bela peč in the background.

Montaž, Špik nad nosom, Špik nad Špranjo.

The Rabelj peaks appear to us, zoomed in.

Among others V. Črnelska špica, Hudi Vršič.

Oh @ločanka, how many visitors Bavha had yesterday... we also visited it again on Thursday... worth multiple visits... :-)

GITA, yes, Velika Bavha is worth multiple visits, that was clear to me right away, no doubt. I imagine it in autumn colors or a bit snowy, uf nasmeh

On Saturday we visited Velika Bavha (with addition over Bohinca) from Jezerska Valley via path no. 654. We descended via path no. 637. Wonderful loop!

You've made a nice loop out of this. I did the same two years ago with the difference that I let myself be driven on the road nasmeh

. And that gully under Bohinca wasn't secured. Last year they added a couple of pegs, this year I see also a wire rope. To me that descent from Bohinca on the marked path seemed a bit funny nasmeh

Steep gullies, scree walking round and round to advance 10 m. Nice solitary loop without crowds. Congrats nasmeh

Wonderful! This Bohinca has been bugging me for a long time. I check it out and study from everywhere how to get to it. I see that where there's a will, there's a way nasmeh

10. 8. 2019. Actually I got an invitation to visit this mountain which I didn't know until now. And this time we didn't measure elevations nor km walked. To meet at 7 in Sella Neveja. Three from Novo mesto and me also from far. Well two and a half hours drive and it was 100 percent from both sides. And we said let's go swimming on the way back to Rabeljsko Lake. The day was so nice. We did a circular tour, no rushing. Admired flowers along the path. Here there are lots of remains of buildings from WWI. The path goes past them. Towards the top it's a scree world, feels like on another planet.

Path marker. We were looking for the path because we didn't know it.

it's a pleasure to walk on such a beautiful path.

I have never seen so much julijski mak as there is here.

Saturday, 14.9.2019

Third time's the charm, so fourth time I headed to Bavha. This time by cable car to Gilbertija, from there traverse on 636a to the junction where one path comes from the valley, another continues to Prevala and the third to Bavha. We continued on the latter to the bivouac and from there to the summit, descent to the valley via 637. Sunny and quite hot day, while surrounding mountains were wrapped in dark clouds, at least their ridges and summits. We put the icing on the cake at Planina Spodnji Krni dol, where a Garfield copy lives. Great day and excellent company! nasmeh
