Bohor is a rather remote hill range, especially if you want to tackle it from the southern slope to catch as much sun as possible. From Šentjur follow the signs towards Planina pri Sevnici, at the intersection before Planina turn left for Sevnica and then again left for Zabukovje. Just before the settlement Mrzla Planina a fairly wide marked path rises from the road towards the ridge, which we can easily follow all the way to the highest peak of Bohor, Veliki Javornik. The path is gentle, leads us across meadows where views open towards Krško, Sevnica, Gorjanci, and through the forest where we admire tall beeches and young firs. At the top of Bohor there is a large clearing, in the middle of which a concrete pillar marks the summit. The path is also botanically interesting, at this time we can discover among the snow the Bohor endemic, yellow jarica. From the starting point to the top it's about good two hours of walking, back an hour and a half.

Let me also add some photos from Bohor where I was on Friday. Unlike Ejca I started the path in the village Dobrova on the southern side of Bohor. I continued the path past the hut to Koprivnik and further to Veliki Javornik and Skalica. I descended past the partisan hospital on Travnem lazu and past the Ubijavnik waterfall back to the starting point.
