This news is already 40 or more years old, because they don't plow and salt and don't want to be responsible. Surely not the only road with such regime in Slo. I don't know if anyone pays, but it's not said that no.

Yes, I'll post conditions after a long time nasmeh

On Saturday 12.1. I headed to Vrata. Right from Mojstrana I was surprised by the barrier in the form of a traffic sign in the middle of the road and then another one at Peričnik.
I headed towards Luknja and via Plemenice to Triglav. Conditions on the path are similar to those Dejan described a while ago, only with the difference that there is quite a lot of new soft puffy snow above Luknja and onwards to the turnec. Towards the top of Plemenice it sinks in. The exit itself has less snow, I went the middle variant. From here again a bit of fresh snow, on the plateau itself wind-blown to rocks. Further to the summit without special features. The same applies to the descent towards Kredarica. Only in the upper part of the path via Prag it sank nicely, especially on the steep scree.

Bambergova (03.05.20)

Already before the Luknja saddle we put on crampons, old snow was concrete. Real winter starts some 200m lower than the turnec. From here on it's really winter. Exit to top of Plemenice is in season 19/20 quite special, mainly nature cared for artwork. Base was unique from ZTP, B.Škrbine and all the way to the top. There was some wind, but it quickly died down as 11 o'clock approached. Ivačičeva cave is now especially beautiful, never seen such. Descent via Prag to valley, no special features/ we took off crampons at 1700m, snow allowed descent without them.

This year's winning route through Plemenice was renovated a few days ago, so I went yesterday from firbc to check how they managed it.jezik
Of course they deserve praise, I noticed that besides the new chains, some scrub was also cleared.
I start from the Dom a bit after six, both parking lots full, if I'd been just a few minutes later, I could've left the car right at the Dom, since they raised the ramp afterwards.
Conditions to Luknja were downright ideal, I got there without rushing in 70 minutes of walking. In the initial climbing section I overtook quite a few slow 'self-belayers', chains are top-notch, but the rock masters probably didn't go all the way to the top, as I ran into a wobbly piton higher up. Like several times before, I missed Sfinga again, which I still haven't been onzmeden.
From the Doliška direction, the path conditions were quite bearable, which I can't say for the Planinska and Kredarica paths, as hikers were swarming both. I descended towards Kredarica, but didn't even enter the hut, instead I lay down for half an hour behind the weather instruments fence. Since Rž failed me this year on the winter ascent, it drove me there again, even though the heat was rising sharply. I put on long pants and shirt, arafat and glasses, and soon I'm on the neglected summit. At Stanič with the newly renovated roof, I treat myself to a sinfully expensive piece of strudel (4.5€) and slowly head down towards Prag. Oh, how welcome it was many years ago to splash in the cold water under Begunjski vrh, now there's drought there. I continue descending in hellish heat, Dejan's picture from 27.6. pops into my head, when he's soaking in Bistrica. I gladly acted on the thought, and already in the upper course:
I also linger longer at Dani's, since I ran into some like-minded folks there again...

Bambergova and northern ridge (19.11.21)

From Turkov Rovt to parking already asphalted, praiseworthy!
Path dry all the way to 2000m, put on winter gear under Turnčeva grapa. Good snow base. Visually skip the marked path and at ZTP turn into the initial wall, which later higher brings me to the northern ridge. Entered more to the right of the summer variant, as only there the entry was snowed in. From the gate onwards nice winter atmosphere, on the ridge as always heavenly Dviški. Here already real winter touch, complete opposite of the counter direction. Descent to Kredarica, where I stayed quite long. Before turning towards Prag I also visited Rž and down the grapa to the previously mentioned descent to the valley. Snow already gone at 1800m altitude. It was a nice Friday

27.05.23

Nice Saturday we used to visit Vrata valley and rejoiced at the promising course of the path through Plemenice. A little snow still under Luknja and even that will disappear these days. Snow started under that flank under the turnec around 2100m. Exit to Plemenice summit will soon be via summer path these days, as snow is decreasing on winter one. Bovška škrbina nicely filled and snow will persist there deep into June. Snow on summit in abundance, descent to Kredarica no less wintery. It's about or it was a serious difficult ascent, in our case descent under Mali Triglav. More or less because of that descent we had 30+20m rope with us, since you don't know what awaits. Carelessness of foreigners still present, I can say they are quite good to dare with hiking poles over those two steep slopes under MT. Descent via Prag was express, no issues. Snow wasn't problematic.

Has anyone gone through Plemenice these days and then to Kredarica? Still plenty of snow?

Even if no one went, I know exactly where the snow is today. But it's pointless to say exactly where, because you probably don't know the terrain. I conclude that from the question being a bit funny when posted 13 days after the post. Much less snow, but definitely there and for winter gear! On the tour, the current descent from the summit to Kredarica is definitely easier than mine with my colleague. That snow under Mali Triglav has surely nicely "emptied" in these 13 days
Good luck

No, I haven't gone through Plemenice in winter yet, and probably won't, but yesterday I felt like going up there. Even though I didn't start really early (at six), like on Monday to Oltar, I walked most of the path in shade. The last hikers I still saw up to Luknja (they turned towards Bovški Gamsovec), from there I continued practically alone. Chains are super, views fantastic all the time, first time in life I also strolled to Sfinga. At Triglavska škrbina I was in a flash, no snow anywhere anymore. On the summit hustle, surprisingly no one selling mulled wine. I descended mostly outside the chains, as traffic was heavy both ways. In the hut I refilled water and continued via Kredarica to Rž, where I enjoyed solitude for a whole hour. For a while I kept company to two lonely guys in Stanič and descended via Prag, which was very hot in the lower part. A bit below Bistrica source time stops for me, by the pool I felt like 60 years ago.
Does anyone remember until when the spring under Begunjski vrh was still alive? I think it'll be 20 years soon.

Regarding the spring, I can only say that 40 years ago it was just dripping. Chef Brane has been a fixture at Stanič for quite some years and may it stay that way.
