Hello! Is there anyone among you who has already been to the summit of High White Peak and would repeat it with me? I've been eyeing High White Peak for a while and surely it's better to go with someone who knows it, right? I can drive and I also have a new rope, for more on ZS. Thanks in advance. Uroš

The post title could also be: OŠ Bukovo students on a trip. After many years, Milan and I headed into the mountains. We were the only classmates from first to eighth grade. After finishing eight-year elementary, we went our separate ways. But the bonds woven back then still connect us. Every few years we escape together to the peace the mountains offer. This time we turned into the Bela Stream valley. There we experienced unforgettable adventures in our youth. This time our goal was High White Peak. It's famous for its exposure and good rock. We descended with two rope rappels and continued on the Centenary Path. Conditions are excellent along the whole route. Weather wasn't too hot yet (17.7.2019). But note that ascent to the summit and descent from High White Peak requires at least basic mountaineering knowledge. The beautiful day passed too quickly for us. We have chit-chat material left for a couple more similar trips.

Will anyone else go to High White Peak? Would you take me along? Anyone who knows this peak? More on ZS. Thanks, Uroš

Uroš, you say hope dies last. Not quite so, because last is taking someone you don't know on first tour to VBŠ or similar. Given your experience, this tour really shouldn't trouble you and you won't give others gray hairs!

Or that someone who doesn't know him takes him along. For such risks only people from the above link are qualified. And rightly they are decently paid for it. I'm not a guide and not advertising them, just sorry for people whose too high ambitions push them too deep. But I agree everyone has their own smarts. In that spirit - good luck!

Thanks to you, you really helped me with your wise cracking! I'm not the first looking for someone to go with and follow, to make finding the path and approach easier, so I wouldn't get lost. Everyone goes alone and I don't see a problem if everyone goes freely alone, you for example walk first and show me the path, I climb freely unroped behind you, also on descent I secure myself alone and descend alone, you have nothing with me, what's the problem now.... I've now thoroughly studied this beauty and believe I'll succeed alone. Good thing there are quite a few good informative articles up here, pictorial and informative. I'll post if I succeed. Thanks for your help and understanding. Uroš

When you mistake well-meaning advice from much more experienced people than yourself for lecturing, you're not mature enough even for Šmarna gora. I don't mean capable, prepared, motivated etc. - mature. Hire a guide or enroll in mountaineering school and do such ascents in equal partnership. Until then, as long as you just brag here and at the same time nag strangers for trips you're not up to yourself, you're nothing but a potential candidate for the guys and girls from rescue service, who voluntarily come to help even the toughest nuts. Even when they've cracked them for good. Get smart, buddy!

Thanks, thanks. Help? For whom? I preferred to take everything with me, since I hadn't been to this spire yet and didn't know how tough it would really be, and I had to go alone.... Started already at 04h and was on top completely alone, by 10h already back at the car with 230 photos and 3 videos. But of course when downclimbing without protection, one needs to look well and assess where to step, where to grab and take time for descent.
