miri, I'm a mountain guide at PD Škofja Loka, which counts among the more successful mountaineering clubs in Gorenjska. Within the club there are three pensioners' groups operating. Divided of course by walking abilities. During this epidemic there are actually no hikes. I meant of course the guiding section tours - we have those on Saturdays. You can check PD Škofja Loka and see we have a nice Saturday tours program. Unfortunately now everything is canceling one after another. In all Škofja Loka primary schools, hiking circles work successfully, led by female guides and mentors. Every year there's also a hiking camp. It works great in primary schools. Unfortunately it all stops after primary. We tried introducing hiking circles in high schools, but no response from high schoolers. Of course on my mountain paths I meet youth of various ages, hiking either in groups or completely alone. That's encouraging. Unfortunately unorganized. When I ask if they are PZS members, mostly no. Somehow I go every year at this time on a botanical hike to Vodnik Hut. I went yesterday too. In recent years I drive to the parking lot before Planina Konjščica. The road is currently almost without potholes. Already at the parking lot at Rudno polje there were lots of cars at seven in the morning. Also at the parking lot before Planina Konjščica it was full of cars. The collapsed ramp before the planina already hinted that the pasture planina has been practically dying for some years, which is a great pity. The planšarija is closed. The surroundings of the planšarija are decaying - fence, benches and tables are falling apart. The planina is being overgrown with that nasty huge meadowsweet. But at this time the planina itself is full of colors of various flowers and these flowery meadows accompany us to Vodnik Hut. The path under Tosc to Uskovnica is closed due to landslide. Before the hut we are surprised by snow tongues, which can be safely crossed. Unfortunately Triglav was all in fog. I met hikers who postponed their ascent to Triglav for another time. The hut had plenty of visitors. Just then they delivered goods to the hut with a horse. But Murk around the hut I didn't find - probably it was still too early.

Water flows. If they perhaps closed it before the hut, there's a blue pipe a hundred steps towards Bohinjska vrata right by the trail from which it gushes.

Has anyone been to Velem polje or Vodnik Hut in recent days? Interested if there's still snow anywhere on the path from Rudno polje or if the path is fully dry?
